Hi, i've recently started birth control. My boyfriend and I waited until I was on the last day of my colored pills (before the sugar pills) to have sex. We used a condom, and we are almost 100 percent certain that nothing leaked. Being the worry wart that I am, I should receive my period with in the next two days. But my question is, can you start ovulating again before you've had your period? Do I have to wait until I get my period next month to be sure nothing happened? Or am I just worrying too much?

Help!!!?

The birth control pill will stop you from ovulating all together so you get your period once a month but no egg is released. If you just started you can have your period at just about any time during your placebos.. Even later. It will take a few months for your body to regulate with the pill. I usually would get mine on the 3rd or 4th day of the placebo pill. If you've been taking the pill every day, I wouldn't worry too much, but since you did wait 3 weeks i'd say you are pretty well protected.
