Q: Does Tmj Make Ears Pop Alot?

I have had tmj for years and sinus problems. For a few years I would get pain in front of my ears from the tmj and then the pain went away and my ears pop alot now. Actually only one does, the side the tmj is the worst. My doc used to give me decongestants to help drain the ears but it didnt do much. My ear dont hurt but just pops alot. Anyone else experience this? Thanks

Yes your "ears " can pop alot with tmj, actualy it is your jaw bone popping in an out of joint either that or your tendtond rubbing against your jaw bone.

Have you every been treated for tmj by a specialized dentist? Bite plates...

I did and now my jaw rarely pops, I just had to sleep with a bite plate in my mouth for a few years .
