I wanted to know why I have pain in shin bone, especially where they connected the device to the shin bone. Some times the pain is really bad!

I also hurt around my knee cap. They left my knee cap. Should they have cave a new one?

I will also have to have my other knee done. Right now there is a pocket of water on my knee does it have to be seen about?

Post Knee Replacement
I had my right knee replaced sept 25,2003. Almost 10 weeks later I still have pain on the inside of the knee, my knee " clicks " whenever I move it and is extremenly swollen on the outside of my knee.

Complicating this I recevied a kidney transplant in 11/99. Today I saw my nephrologist for my 3 mo checkup. He said my swelling is a little worse than normal because of the transplant but to expect it to improve in 6 mos to 1 year. Also, once I started driving after 7 weeks I now have some knee cap pain but was told that will also go away in time.

My surgeon said recovery can be anywhere from 3 to 6 months.
