Q: Iud's And Pregnancy

I have had an iud for about a year now and recently I have been having a lot of the same symptoms I had when I was pregnant. I havent had my period in almost two months and I have been bloated, nauseous, irritable, unusually tired and my breasts seem to have grown. I am not sure if I could even be pregnant since I have an iud and my doc told me I could stop having my period because of it too. Can anyone tell me if I should bother getting a test or am I just crazy. Any help would be great.

You can definately get pregnant! I did. 8 months after the iud was inserted. I had my second daughter 20 months after my first. Confused If you are pregnant don't worry if you've heard any iud horror stories. They took my iud out when I was 6 weeks pregnant and my daughter was born perfectly healthy.

Yes, pplleeeaassee get tested and checked to see if you are pregnant, I am not trying to scare you but I got pregnant while having an i.U.D. And the fetus ended up with the i.U.D. But I did end up miscarrying.

Thanks For the Advice
I found out tonight in the er that I have an ectopic pregnancy. I was in a lot of pain and had to leave work. They gave me a shot that is supposed to kill the trophoblast cells and I have to go back to the doc's in a few days to get an ultrasound to make sure its gone. If its not I have to have laprascopic surgery. The whole thing was scary and I cried a bit but my hubby and best friend were there and both are very supportive. Thanks again for the advice.
