My due date is on the last day of school. Am I going to be able to go that long? How many of you girls went to school while you were pregnant? Was it really hard? If you didn't go to school, what did you do? Thanks for answering all my questions and being my friend.

Re: Pregnancy And School
I was pregnat during school though but it didn't show since I was really really skinny. But it was only for 3 months. Currently i'm not in school but im going for homeschooling. There are some schools out there who allow pregnant women to still attend so find out if your school is one of them, other schools make you drop out. Anyway, don't worry about us answering your questions! It's our pleasure, that's what we're here for! To help each other out (:

isn't that discrimination based on a medical condition??? I think that's illegal...

But yeah if you work hard you can do it. If you don't have complications and don't go early! I couldn't have done it. But you might be able to!

Im not in high school, but im in college and pregnant...Im 26 weeks and its already getting hard to fit in the desks lol I have to sit at tables w/chairs. Other than that, ive been fine so far going to school except for occasional back pain. Im taking off next semster to have the baby, but I think I could probably go up until a few weeks before my due date. Maybe you can work somethign out with your school so that you can finish early or get work sent home or something...

Hey sarah. I'm 12 weeks along, and i'm still in school. I'm not sure how long I will be able to go for, i'd like to go for as long as possible, then maybe homeschooling.. I dont think they can kick you out for being pregnant, I mean as long as you can do it, they should let you stay. Most girls that I kno who have been pregnant in school have left at about their 7 month of pregnancy on maternity leave.

I had enough credits to graduate a year early, and I took all of my classes in packets and they told me that whenever I got the packets finished, I wouldn't have to come back to school until graduation. So, I got out of school in december and had january to get ready to have ethan and then in february he was born and then I went back later for graduation in june. I was lucky to have that option available to me. I wish that all schools did that for the pregnant girls.

I went to school while I was pregnant but it wasn't very fun because my school is filled with complete idiots who would try to trip you down the stairs to see "what would happen" if you were pregnant, didn't happen to me but I saw it happen twice. If that would've ever happened to me I can tell you right now that whoever did it would've had a bruised face. I only went for half the year while I was pregnant anyway cause my principal said in not so many words that I was basically a bad influence..Yeah okay there's a 13 year old getting high in the bathroom during classes and i'm the bad influence? Psh! Lol

Physically, as long as you dont go into labor before your due date. You should be able to make it.

I got kicked out of my school, or would have if I had tried to go back after summer break. But I went to a christian school. And the rule book clearly states that "sexual immorality" is against the rules.

I'm homeschooling right now and I am graduating in december through that...

Thnks Everybody
My dad is a lawyer so he wouldn't let the discrimination thing happen to me...But I don't know if my school has like a "morals code". I just don't know if I want everybody talking about me and watching me get bigger and bigger.

Sarah, high school rumors are the worst.. I know, but you cant let them get to you hun! My advice is this, keep your friends close, and ignore everybody else. Goodluck

oh, and if you want to hear a good story about high school rumors, ask jess. Laughing i'm sure she wouldn't mind sharing, its a good one.

Homeschooling is exactly the same as regular school...You just do it by yourself and at home. You have to have all the same credits...If you do it in a semester or a full year is up to you. But you are required to finish your courses that you would need to graduate.

U should talk to your principal about you staying in school. Some christian schools (like mine) will send you to a link school that they have just for pregnant teens.

They have a school for only pregnant teens here but its your choice to go. Its 2 hours late so starts at 9:30 and you get juice and food and stuff and I guess its really nice.
