I don't know if I can be of any help, but what ever you can do for your mom will help her. Do you know what type she has. Genotype 2 usually responds better to treatment. Also do you know what type of treatment she was on? Not everyone will respond though. If she didn't respond, she may eventually need a liver transplant. Hep c usually takes a long time to progress, but I emphasize usually as I am no doctor, but that is what I have read. Hope this helps.
