Q: Another Pap!?

Tommorrow is my appointment with the doctor 'cuz he told me to come back two weeks later. So yeah, two weeks ago I had my first pap, and they found out about the yeast infection I was telling you girls about. So tommorrow would he give me another pap to see if it went away after the medication?

Grrr...I hate those damned paps.

If so,
would it last forever like last time? Lol because last time I dont know what the hell he was doing, he was fondling with my goodies or something. I dunno but he kept sticking 500 cotton swab's in me, or whatever they were. Will he only stick one this time and just get the dna he needs and stuff? Or will he have to fondle again with his two little fingers? Lol

I could've sworn it was more than 5 minutes. I was in so much pain, I was squirming and tensing up so much I was about to pull a muscle, I was literally in tears, thats how much it hurts!

I hope tommorrow wont be as bad or i'll just cry and make a fool out of myself Sad

If the yeast infection is gone than they probably won't do another pap smear. You'll get used to him poking and probing after time. I just got "upgraded" from once a month to every two weeks...

Lauren

p.S. I'm not trying to scare you, but if you think a pap smear hurts imagine squeezing a seven pound watermelon out of there Wink

i know, I can't wait, lol.

But yeah, I mean they dont know yet if its gone, so err, they probally will give me the pap tommorrow.

Oh my god, dont tell me they're gonna make me come every two weeks, too. I dont get what's the point of pap's? Like, if you already got it why get it again?

Unless they're checking ur cervix for dialation - that's a different story. But aren't paps taken for finding out infections and other crap?

Oh michelle, yeah I got medication. Had to stick this nasty thing up me for seven days, but I dont think I did it right, lol. I would stick it less that halfway in and then most of it would just gush out, so I think it's still there.

Can they really give you nitrous oxide? That would super, but i'm still excited about the epidural. I'm asking for morphine when it's all over Wink

I just read about nitrous oxide during labor and it doesn't sound good, check out this website.

it says it's not very good for relieving pain during labor and your child is 5 and a half times more likely to become addicted to amphetamines later in life.

I struggled with an amphetamione addiction a little while ago and it is a tough habit to kick.

I don't know how reliable any of this is, but a lot of sites say the same thing. I'm not trying to interfere or be a bummer, I was honestly just curious, but I thought you should know. If I were you i'd talk to my doctor about an epidural babe.

Theyll be giving me that either instead of an epidural or, so that they can give me an epidural becasue I cant do needles. She said that they dont usually do this for people but she understands how severe that my problem with needles is...And shes afraid that it could cause problems(the fear of needles)becasue if you have it bad enough you can go into shock and die

If they give you valium, then I bet you won't even know that you're getting the epi, and if you do, you won't care.

Well, like I said, if you do know, you won't care. The reason they give valium (diazapam) during labor is as a tranquillizer. It relieves anxiety, but it can make your baby weak. You'll probably fall asleep. If you get an epi you won't be able to feel anything below your waist, so they'll probably do valium then the epi. And if you're still too scared then they'll probably give you gas. It sucks that you have this phobia because the epi alone is the safest choice for the baby.
