Yeah, I dont understand why some people get so upset over it eiether...I don't think those people understand how bad it hurts to not have your relationship be accepted, celebrated, etc by others just because they are not the same race...Ugh!!! It frustrates me just thinking about it!!! And to think that the child(ren) that are a result of such a relationship are going to have to put up with being treated as someone who is inferior and putting up with ignorant comments, stares, and such just breaks my heart...

I know how you feel. My dad is the biggest racist on the planet, literally!! He told my older sister that he would pay her if she wouldn't date black guys...She was sooo pissed. And he threatened to disown me when I started dating one. I think no matter how they say they feel, you're family would love a biracial baby just like any other...I don't think anyone can look at a baby and not love it!!

As for people giving you funny looks, that changes in every community. The one I lived in was a military community, so there were all different races there, and a lot of biracial people too. No one really cared who was with who, because we all realized that it's just skin. If you live in a mostly white community or something like that, tho, you're likely to get some caca. My suggestion would be, if you do have his baby, that when you can, move to a different neighborhood. Find one that will accept both of you, and your baby.

Umm I dated a black guy for 4 years! He was my high school sweetheart! My mom loved him (until things got not so good and he made me cry..Then we broke up). My dad would always tell me growing up that if I ever brought a black guy in the house i'd be thrown out! My parents are divorced so my mom loved my ex and my dad would say.."i don't like it but I can deal with it" and be all nice to my ex and ask about him and stuff! Like my mom always told me.." I would rather see you with a respectable black man than a white guy who is going to treat you like dirt and knock you around!! It doesn't matter if they are black white purple or poka dotted...Just as long as they are good to you!" so just as long as this guy is good to you and has something going for him..Who cares and your parents really can't say anything about him...

My daughter is mixed and it's funny how similar our stories are. Actually started dating her daddy 5 years ago and my parents hated it. So I had to sneak behind their backs to see him. When I got pregnant last summer it was the biggest shock to them. Makayla is the first biracial baby in our family and I think the cutest! My parents flipped out! My mom actually kicked me out like 4 times during my pregnancy and my dad actually reacted better after some time. But after getting over the initial shock, they grew to love her before she was born and now my dad tells me that he wants to adopt her!!!! So that just goes to show you how people can turn around.

My son is hispanic and white. Family has no problem with it. He's not the first one either. Lol my nieces are white spaniard and white and my aunt is married to a hispanic and has three kiddos. This baby im carrying is the same as my son...Hispanic and white. (same daddy). I guess some people just can't get out of the old times and still believe something is wrong with color.

I love biracial children. I have never seen any cuter!!!

I have dated black guys, and my dad and mom were so not okay with it.......I didn't talk to my dad for over a year.....And my best friend who I lived with also had a black boyfriend......And therefore our house was two white chicks, and three or four black dudes at a time. (we were like an orphanage, anyone who didn't have a place to stay came to us). And if my parents knew that, they would have flipped out. Good thing I lived 8 hours away from them! I don't see anything wrong with it........I have philipino (spelling, I know) cousins, and biracial black cousins, and love them all!

Re: Biracial Babies/interracial Relationships
I have to tell you that I have been where you are. It is not easy for anyone that has some racism in their family. I am caucasian and my guy is black. If anyone's parents or family is racist it is mine. I have been with my guy now for five years now and I tell ya it wasn't always easy and there still is some difficult times but you need to make sure that if your guy comes around your family that he is just the most perfect man for you and if you two ever have spats or whatever, do not tell your family because that'll give them a reason to dissapprove even more. Eventually when your family gets used to him being around then you can share your problems if you choose to. As for if your wanting a baby together, girl all I can say to earn yours and his families respect do it right. Make sure that that is what you both want to do and you guys get married and so on. That will show everyone that you both are serious and really love eachother and are not just rebelling. Also, biracial babies are beautiful and once you decide to have one and the family give the baby a chance they will fall in love with him/her. It took my father over a year before he would even look at my son and once he did..My son has been his favorite grandbaby out of 9 so far! Just give it time sweetie and show everyone that you guys really love eachother. As far as dirty looks from strangers, forget about it. They don't know you two and you probably will never see them again anyway. They are just jealous. You know what I do..I just walk tall and proud next to my man girl because as long as you are happy and treat eachother right that is all that matters. :d I hope all this helps you. Keep your head up, give it time and only show positivity for now anyway! Take care

I'm a mixed baby. :) i'm half irish, half asian-indian. My grandparents on the white side (my mom), were pretty disapproving at first, but they worked it out. I don't think you should worry about what your parents think. Go with what you and the b/f decide. :)

Whoo hoo... Finally a post I can really relate too !!! Im bi- racial.. To simplify things im black white and hispanic. My dad is as dark as any black man you will see on the street !!
You cant really look at me and tell I am mixed... Most have seen my pictures and if not go look at me cause im one hot mama !!! Lol
Myspace.Com/onliioneluv
my sister has a different father then me she is crystal clear... Was born with white blonde hair and blue blue eyes !! All 3 of her children are bi-racial and probally the most beautiful children I have ever seen. My tase is that I have been only physically attracted to white guys so even tho I am mixed my son looks like I had no part in creating him. His daddy could have pissed him out himself.

I think its wrong for people to disscriminate about the race of people.. We all bleed the same. Thats just childish

My friend is white and just found out she is pregnant by a black guy.

She is now 9 weeks pregnant and she is a wreck because basically her whole family is against her having the baby because it is bi racial, the only person in her family supporting her decision to keep the baby is her mom.

Her brother told her she should not have it because she is only 19 and has her whole life in front of her which angers me off because the truth is he is 100% racist and does not want a bi racial niece or nephew and I know that's true because like I said he is racist but also he got a girl who just turned 18 knocked up and practically begged her to keep the baby but yet he tells his sister who will be 19 soon that she is to young to have a baby and on top of this her brother is a damn child molester so why the hell should she even give a damn about what he says, he is 33 dating a girl who just hit 18 who just wants his money.

Then thier are her two cousins richie and jer who are racist and against it which really makes no sense because both have babies by black girls and surprise surprise neither of those piece of trash supports or has anything to do with their babies.

Then their is my friends gay sister and her girlfriend who have no right to say a damn thing because they are freaking gay and have 6 children whom they can not even take care of and all of them are under 16 and curse like sailors. My friends sister claims she does not want her to have the baby because it is bi racial but I know that another reason is because she really wants a baby but she can not have one because one she only lives in a 2 room house so what is she putting it and 2 she can not even afford the kids she has and 3 she likes babies, once it gets to be about 4 or 5 it will go right back to my friend.

People who are against bi racial babies just make me so angry, like I can see okay telling off the parents is one thing but making fun of the child? I told my friend ya know some of your family are going to say the word n*** around your baby and she said yah and I already told all of them if they do im going to freaking slap the hell out of them.
