Q: Biracial Babies/interracial Relationships

Hey girls,
one of the things that is going to be most difficult (dealing w/ telling me family if in fact I am preggy) is that my child would be biracial.

I was wondering if any of you are pregnant with or have had a biracial baby?
I am white and my boyfriend is black. My parents are already so unaccepting of our relationship and haven't even met my bf yet b/c of the fact that they do not agree with me dating black guys...
My bf's family is somewhat unaccepting too...Like I am not allowed over to certain members of his family's houses...And when we go out in public we get really rude comments, dirty looks, and we've even been threatened and had people try to harm us physically...

If any of you have any kind of experience with this sort of thing I would love to hear from you! Even if you do not have any experience with this, any advice, comments, etc would be appreciated!

Thanks Smile

My home girl callie, thats all she will date is black men. We have a lot of biracial babies in our family, and everyone loves them, they are adorable!!! There really isn't anything that you can do, except just tell them. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. I'm guessing that your family is going to be really pissed at you...But once the baby comes...Everyone will adore the baby believe me. Good luck..I wish I could help you more. My parents are unaccepting of black people also...But not my whole entire family, just my dad mostly.
I know what you mean about the rude comments though and dirty looks just even having my black friends by me, people look just because there aren't really a lot of black people in this town. I am not racist by any means, and people shouldn't judge because of skin color. Its a harsh harsh world, sometimes...But there are some people who accept it...So thats good. Hope everything works out for you.

Also, I was wondering what your views on interracial relationships were.
I am not trying to start a debate or anything about whether they are right or wrong, but I would like to know if you are accepting of these types of relationships, and if not, why you feel that way.

To me, it seems as if people are more accepting of interracial relationships dealing with couples that are not black/white...To me it seems that if say a white person was dating someone who was hispanic or asian or something they don't seem to make quite as big of a deal out of it...

I really would like to hear your thoughts though because I am trying to figure out and understand where people are coming from...I will respect your opinions no matter what they are....

Thanks again :d

I honestly think that mixed babies are the cutest.... I have nothing wrong with differnt races dating eachother or marrying.... Its just a skin color.... When I am older I hope you marry a black guy...My nana and papa dont like the idea of having a mixed baby but they are old and thats the way they were brought up....

I know that jeni and stacies sister have mixed babies

They should love and accept their grandchild no matter what... If it makes you feel any better although it took my parents a long time they are finally accepting it took my mom 2 months and my stepdad up until about a week ago Smile but now they love my little one growing
