I was told that it is not good to eat food too hot or drink beverages that are too cold; it does something to the brain.
Is that true ? And if so what are the effects?

It is true that eating things too hot and drinking things too cold can have a negative affect on your body, but not necessarily your brain. I know for a fact that if you constantly drink really cold drinks(like ice water) it takes a beating on your colon and can lead to bowel problems...Drinking warm things such as tea or coffee are definitely better for your bowels opposed to drinks with ice.
