I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me. I took a test last tuesday morning and it was positive. I went to my doctor on wednesday and she confirmed the pregnancy. She said that the bleeding was caused by a threatened miscarriage and that I need to be very careful the next 3 months or so and that I need to stay in bed for the remainder of this week. The bleeding has been stopped for 3 days but I am so worried that I won't be able to carry it to term. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Is there anything I can do to prevent a miscarriage? My boyfriend and I are so worried about losing this baby.My next appointment is on friday morning unless something happens before then. Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks,
hilary

Extremely eHealthy
Hey Hilary
Hey hilary,
u poor thing. The first three months r said to b an uncertain time in every pregnancy cos it's the time when ur body will see if it can cope with the pregnancy.
I have no experience of this, there r girls on here who do and will get back to u but my aunt had one and I know it's very important to look after yourself, get lots of rest, regular check ups and dont do anything strenous. The main thing is to not stress yourself out-this isnt good for anyones body especially not a pregnant body.
Unfortunately, there's nothing u can really do to stop it from happening-it's just natures way but if u look after yourself, please god eveything goes ok. I'll think of u on fri-my friends having an abortion that day. I wish she wanted her baby as much as u want urs.
Pm me when u've had ur appointment.
Hope i've helped in some way,
good luck & loadsa love,
liz x

Oh sweetie, I am so sorry about this! Like liz said there is nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage from taking place! On the upside the bleeding has stopped so there is a good chance that your baby is just fine! My prayers are with you!

Much love

Hey everyone, thanks for the encouragement. So far so good! I go to the doctors office tomorrow, but I haven't had any bleeding, cycle cramps or anything. I am having a mild tingling in my abdomen which I read was a sign of the uterus stretching? I am not worried because it doesn't hurt and I am not bleeding, am I ok not to be worried?? I am 7 weeks according to my doc, he said that he will give me an edd at my appointment tomorrow! Do you think I will hear a heartbeat then?? I know if I heard it, I would feel so much better! Let me know what you think and thanks again for everything!!

Hilary
