Weird situation.....I'll try to be as clear as possible.

Ok, I started the pill in the beginning of september, the 6th I think, I had just finished my period. I stopped taking it september 16th because I had heavy heavy bleeding, and my nurse that I had told me if I bleed more than normal while on the pill to discontinue its use. I started bleeding sept. 13th and stopped the 20th. Well I talked to my nurse again and she said to expect my period a month after I stopped, which would have been around oct. 18th. Well it is nov. 1st and I just got it today.

In between mid-sept and now I have been eating a lot, but in the last 2-3 days it has slowed considerably. I just got a cold, but two weeks ago had a stomach ache for 3 days. My breasts just got tender this weekend, which made me think I might be either getting my period, finally, or be pregnant. I had no morning sickness and my nipples didn't darken or anything, but I was confused.

Ok, so back to me getting my period today. I woke up and, yay, it was here. What a relief, at first. Then at about 10:30 I started getting cramps, which is normal, they weren't that bad. Well at around 11:15-11:20 they got really bad, I almost had to leave class(im in college). Well I was walking back to my room and I almost had to sit down it hurt so bad, and I got to the bathroom once I got to my room. I had a blood clot about the size of a quarter, it was jelly like and dark. I don't clot often and when I do they are very small, so this concerned me. After the clot passed, I had no more cramps at all. A lady I know through a band we are both fans of had told me a story about when she found out that her depo shot was not working. She had unbelieveable cramps and then had a clot, and later found out it was a miscarriage. So this also concerned me.

I know it is normal to clot when you are on the pill, it is normal that your period will be irregular in the first 1-3 packs of your pill and that if you stop it will be irregular. But I also know that you can bleed normally when you are pregnant. I guess my question is what do you think? Could the clot be a miscarriage? Is everything normal(im not pregnan)? Could I be pregnant? I am not ready to go to the doc yet, I want to see what happens this week with my period, if anything is not normal. Im thinking of taking a preg. Test this weekend when im with my boyfriend.

Please let me know your thoughts, whatever they are.

Thanks

The warning signs of a miscarriage include:
vaginal bleeding that is heavier than a normal period and lasts more than 2 weeks
vaginal bleeding that soaks one thick pad or more in an hour
vaginal bleeding accompanied by passing large clots (the size of a walnut or larger)
cramping that gets worse or lasts more than 2 days
foul-smelling discharge from your vagina
chills or fever (temperature of 38 degrees c or 100.4 degrees f or higher).

Believe me, when you have a miscarriage, you'll know it. No doubt about it. I don't think you are pregnant at all, and if you were, you aren't anymore...So taking a test isn't going to help you. The best thing to do is to go to the doctor, because if you did have a miscarriage, you need to get checked out. Normally, you would pass more than just one large clot.

Not Sure...
Well im feeling like I always do when I have my period right now, but once I started eating a lot and not gettign my period, it made me wonder if I was beginning to eat for two. The stomach aches made me worry, and now I have a cold. But im not sure, not that I have my period, im a little at ease with it. We have always use condoms, every time, so that was a nother reason that made me think im not pregnant, but I might take a pg test once my period is done just to cure my worries a little more.

Thanks for the help
