I Am About to Go Crazy With This Constant Pain Posted: 10-13-03 05:46am
I am 34 weeks along and am in severe pain!
the pain is in my
vagina it feels like I have been kicked as
hard as someone possibly could kick me.
I started having this pain at 3 months
along and its only gotten more sever. I
feel like I am loosing my mind since I am
in constant pain. It doesnt help to lay
down, sit down, walk, stand nothing helps!
I drive 2 hours to go to a better
facility since I live farther out in rural
minnesota. When I first felt the pain I
went to the local clinic and the doctor
sent me home with vicotin. This did not
touch the pain whatsoever and with
concerns from my mother I decided to not
take the painkiller after only taking it a
few times. When I returned to my doctor
in mpls. She recently under much much
coaxing finally sent me to an orthopedic
specialist. The specialist took an x-ray
of my pelvis which also concerned me
because I thought being pregnant you
weren't supposed to have x-ray's. She
found nothing and sent me away in tears
with a perscription for a walker.
Please! If there is anyone that can give
me any kind of answers I am about to go
crazy with this constant pain I need
heeeeeeeeeeeelp!

My friend had the same kind of pain while
she was pregnant, and the doctor said it
was normal. It stopped after she had the
baby.

Your right x rays are a horrible idea
while you are pregnant. There is a
possibility that these pains are normal
but I would continue to harass your doctor
and make it clear that this pain is
absolutely unbearable and they must do
something about it asap (caps). Your
pregnancy is supposed to be joyous. How
can you enjoy it, while in so much pain.

I also had a pain like that when I was
pregnant. I couldnt poop because the pain
would be 10 times worse and felt like it
was going to paralize me. But I found
that I was serviously bound up and I took
laxatives to clean me out good. Yes it
hurt but once all of it was out. I didnt
have the pains again. I guess if you dont
make sure your cleaned out good or having
regular bowel movements when your
pregnant...You get bound up bad. I would
maybe try this method with the ok from the
doctor. Hope this helps.

I've been having those pains also. And I
was just recently at the doctor on friday
and he told me to blame it on the
hormones. And also told me to take a warm
bath. And that seems to help me a little
bit!

When I first suspected my pregnancy, is
when I missed my period. A few weeks
later I started getting those pains. I
went to my doctor in new orleans and he
told me it was called thrush...Its when
the mussles your vagina a constantly
contracting. Be sure to take a shower
every night before you go to sleep.
Bacteria builds up and causes it to
contract. Dont ask! Lol...It was the
most uncomfortable pain I had ever
experienced in my entire life. It hurt
worse than anything!!! After a while...It
went away!! I hope this helps. Mention
thrush to your doctor and see what he/she
says.

I am 37 weeks and had this for about a
month from 3-4 months. Luckily, it went
away. My Dr. Told me it is varicose
veins in the vulva and it is fairly
common. He told me to wear tight
underwear or panty hose for support and
elevate your feet whenever possible. I
have a stool at work and keep my feet
elevated all day long and I think this has
really helped. Good luck with your
pregnancy and I hope you feel better.
