When do the doctors stop giving epidurals? I thought they started when you're about 5 cm and after that its too late to get one.

Omg!! Really? Im scared now. Since im not in labor and im already 5 cm with no pain or any signs of going into labor what if they don't let me go to the hospital until its too late and I can't get an epidural and then it becomes really painful?

Oh wow, better get to the hospital! I'd be terrified if I couldn't have an epidural.

Yeah, I dont want to go to the hospital no though cause I haven't had any pain or anything to make me think that I am going into labor soon. And at my last apt the doc didn't tell me to go to the hospital, she acted like everything was fine and she said that I am 5 cm but she still can't tell when i'll be having my baby.

In al you can get one at any point. My baby class teacher told me. She is a labor & delivery nurse.

From what I know (may not be much!) you can get one at any point! They usually wait and give them after 4 cm because it can slow labor, but you can get one right up until the end. Unless the baby is like coming out and it wont have time to do you any good! But if you've made it that far...You can make it to the end!

I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. You are 5 cm and not even having any contractions. By the time the contractions come, you will be pushing!! Haha!! Sounds like you are on your way to a fast delivery. I can only hope I am that lucky!
