Im having the same problem right now. I have pelvic and lower abdominal pain and pressure, and one time when I wiped today some blood came out. My gyno took a urine test and she said it looked good but she's sending out for a culture. Im getting a cat scan done on my abdomin and pelvic next week for all these problems, so hopefully something shows up.

Does it feel like you have a period? Mine does, only im not due for 2 weeks.

Mimee,
did you ever find out what the problem was? I have had 3 utis in the past year and a half. Last week I started feeling like I had one so I went to the infirmary. There was absolutely no sign of infection, but there was slight amount of blood (not even enough to see). I went in for a follow up yesterday and the doc said not to worry because there is no infection at all. But i'm still feeling constant pressure like I need to pee! Please help! I hope you come back and see this....

This Sounds Like Textbook Ic
Interstitial cystitis feels like a uti that never goes away. Antibiotics won't help because there isn't infection.

Maybe it's ureaplasma urealyticum? I went to doctors for almost two years. They kept saying you don't have a bladder infection but I knew something was wrong. Finally I was diagnosed with ureaplasma. I've been on antibiotics for 6 weeks now but am not getting better.

It could be ic but I think it's more likely to be ureaplasma urealyticum, in my opinion. I think ic is fairly rare...No?

Ureaplasma Urealyticilum
Ureaplasma appears to be an STI transmitted from one partner to another. I have read a lot about this recently and it is definitely different than instititial cyctitis. That causes a very urgent need to urinate and orange juice, coffee and chocolate make it worse. The Ureaplasma causes a yellowish discharge, burning inside and urinating more often. You also feel feverish, nauseous, very very tired. Zithromax should be taken, 4 250mg tablets all at once. Retest in 2 weeks if still positive, seek out other option. My friend is seeing a specialist about this to get more. info. Don't stop seeing doctors until you get a cure. Try Essiac, natural healer, golden seal capsules, vitamin e...and drink beet juice and cranberry juice, pure forms preferred or from health food store. Good luck.

Not a Uti, but what is it???
For the last four months, I have had a feeling of having to pee constantly, even when I just went. I also have some pain in the bladder and urethra. I have had a CT Scan, IVP Scan,Ultrasound and Cystoscopy, but nothing was found. The doctor could find nothing wrong. Could this be ureaplasma urealyticum?

Ureaplasma urealyticum has ruined my parts down there. It has been 7 months and I still have yellow discharge since I contracted this STD from my boyfriend. My discharge used to be clear and normal. I too two cycles of Zithromax and took Essiac excellent suggestion to prior poster. I have burning a lot of the time and there is nothing I can do right now. This infection is one that can take years to clear and that is very discouraging. Also I had intersticial cystitis. It is different. Your bladder burns all the time...you can pee 50 times a day but no relief and indeed orange juice, chocolate and coffee will make things much worse. I went for insertions of a garlic type solution into my bladder for many months and that helped. It was with a doctor called Dr. Gerridzen at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa. He was amazing. Aside from that the key is don't have unprotected sex unless you are absolutely positive your partner is faithful, because in the end it is your health that suffers, not theirs. A guy will have excessive discharge with ureaplasma which lasts several weeks and they don't pay attention like we do. My boyfriend...ex now...denied he ever had discharge, I mean it was obvious and a lot of it in his underwear...so ladies be careful. Hope this helps.
