Okay I found out that I have hpv and when they told me I was too worried to ask any questions. What I do want to know is if I am ever going to be able to get rid of it or if it will be with me forever?

You will carry hpv for the rest of your life. However, it's kind of like having mono... Your body can become immune to your type of hpv, which causes the hpv to be dormant. Nobody knows how long it takes for hpv to become dormant, but it's said that within 2 years (at the max), it will become dormant. Here's a couple of websites that are helpful:

If you treat your body right and keep your immune system up then you will see the symptoms decrease over time. But you will have HPV for ever and you will be contagious as well even if there are no symptoms present.
