Hi lindsay! I am jessika and I just had my baby girl, cheyenne a little more than a week ago! True contractions start at the top of your uterus, they are persistant and cannot be relieved by changing positions. Braxton hicks are non consistant, they can be painful but usually are not, and if you change positions sometimes they will go away. I delivered cheyenne 2 weeks early, she was due on the 15th, she weighed 7lbs 3ozs at birth! You are already 38 weeks so you are already at term! Try swimming, walking or taking a warm bath. If you are in labor it will help progress it, but if it is just braxton hicks, it may help relieve them!! Good luck and keep us posted!
Much love
