Just recently I went to the doctor and had my first ultrasound, the doctor said that the baby looked underdeveloped even though im only 7 weeks. Has this happened to anyone else?

That didnt happen to me . . . Are you eating well? And getting enough nourishment for you and baby? That could be the cause of "baby's" under-develpoment.

*i noticed that your from houston, me 2! And katherine19 is also!*

That happened in my first pregnancy. I was 8 weeks but the baby only looked like a 5 week baby. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage two days later. But that may not happen to you.

Well the doctor said that it looks like the baby is only 4 days behind, and I do eat well. But the thing is that im only 4'11 and my boyfriend is only 5'5. Do you think that could be the reason? Maybe the baby is just small.

Well, babies in general are all around the same size. I dont htink that you and the father being pettite would affect that. Most of the time when a doctor says "under-developed" it means that they were looking for "signs" that the baby was at the right place in the growth. For instance, that its developed the certain organs that it needs to have developed by the right time.

Ya but the funny thing is that the ultrasound just showed a black bubble and a little halo looking thing. I know the doctor most likely saw more than that but I dont know how!

Lol - when the doctor looks at an ultrasound they see a lot more then we do. Because they know .E.X.A.C.T.L.Y what they are looking for. And they've been doin it for awhile.

But hey girl, dont stress yourself out over it. That will only make things worse.

At my u/s for my second pregnancy, they said my baby was a little smaller or my due dates were off.. But I knew when I conceived. I also miscarried 2 days later.. But im sure urs isnt that, 4 days isnt too big a deal at this stage.. So I wouldnt worry too much Smile
