Has anyone heard of peggy claude pierre
and the montreux clinic? I'm just
curious because i've been reading her book
"the secret language of eating disorders"
and it seems like her theories & views
on people with ed's are very different
from other therapists. Apparantly her
clinic (montreux) was shut down in
victoria canada because of her methods of
treating the illness and for practicing
with no license.
The thing is that she was very effective
at helping sufferes recover and had a very
high success percentage that is why i'm
curious as to if anyone knows anything
about her and her methods. I'm just
wondering if she's some kind of quack or
very experienced? Also do people with
anorexia or bulimia really feel and think
the way she describes in her book? Such
as, there is a voice almost like a demon
yelling and cursing you allday & night
that your overweight or not attractive and
that you shouldn't have friends or
relationships because you don't deserve
them, and that your not worthy etc. False
negative statements like that? It's
actually kind of frightening the way she
describes it in this book. Y

I guess it sort of like that.....I know
how it felt for me and to look in the
mirror.... I was my own worst
enemy.....Its basically every bad thing
someone ever said to me whether it was a
joke or otherwise came back to haunt
me....That was everything I thought I
was....
