Q: Vitamin a During Pregnancy

Hello everybody.


The supplements facts table on my prenatal multivitamin states that it contains 8000 iu vitamin a (4800 from retinyl palmitate
3200 from beta-carotene)

can I use it or not ?

I don't believe that they would make a pre-natal vitamin that had an overdosage of any on vitamin in it. I think you will be fine.

Also if you are taking something over the counter make sure it is fda approved. You want to make sure you are taking the correct dosage and the vitamin has all safe ingredients. I would just ask your doctor to prescribe you something if he/she hasn't already...

Most of the internet sites says that vitamin a and pregnancy don't go together. And that's why I am asking you, what should I do ???

I'm not pregnant but I still take prenatal vitamins as a daily supplement. I read that it is good take them before, during and after pregnancy.
