I think I saw someone else here mention that their growls went away after they corrected a hormonal imbalance...has anyone else here been to an endocrinologist or anything like that? I am going to see if I can get one to check for normal hormone levels.

Hello everyone,

Sorry that I have not been on here for a while, but it's just that my account was suspended for posting links on here. It took a while for it to get reactivated and then it didn't let me log in for a while.

Well I can see that we are all doing lots of research and I hope that we can each find a solution to our problems. I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and I bought so much stuff, since I got a 20% coupon. I also went to another place and bought OxyPowder. I have been on the Oxypowder for 3 days, going on 4. I have to work tomorrow, so I'm going to stop and start again over the weekend. I hope this stuff helps me, my stomach has been making horrible sounds lately, but I know it's because of the OxyPowder. I started out at 4 pills then went to 6 and now I'm at 8. I have had 4 bowl movements this morning, haha, it's insane. I mean it's mainly all fluid, but I see some weird things in their and I hope it's the Candida, being flushed out.

I have been taking all the things I was before, Caprylic Acid, Zinc, Pau D' Arco, Flax seed oil, Metamucil, garlic pills, grapefruit seed extract, l-glutamine and probiotics.

I bought Oregano oil, Candidagone, Super Digestaway, but have not taken them yet.

I'm hoping to take all these Candida killer things and then flush everything out of my colon with OxyPowder. I hope I know what I'm doing, but it makes sense. After I flush most things out, then I'll Bombard my colon with Oregano Oil, Candidagone, Super Digestaway and all the other things.

My stomach feels soo much better and I have been taking Activa yogurts and my stomach does not make any noises after I take them. My stomach has made noises in the last two days and it's bowel movements. I hope this OxyPowder is as good as people say it is. So far I have felt better, but watch out if you take OxyPowder, since you never really know when you need to use the restroom. The guy who sold me the pills, told me that becareful, because sometimes you may want to let gas out, but instead stool may come out, so becareful if you take the pills.

I'm more than sure I have candida and I'm more than sure that is my problem and the problem of some of you. I think that our problems are closely related and that we need to clean out our colons and replenish them with good bacteria and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I will keep you guys posted on how everything goes. Best of luck to everyone.

ericr747 - sounds like you have dealing with this for some time. I read your post and you should are taking alot of steps to solve your problems.

I have tried alot of the same things you are taking and I ruled them out for one reason or another for not helping me. But I will try to keep track of your progress on the thread. It is interesting to read others ideas and their experiences.

It would be great if there was one thing we could all do that would make the problem go away, over night. I still would like to find a daily supplement that would keep the candida at bay for ever, but something in my system on its own cannot handle the invaison.

Can I ask if there is an age factor in any of this, has anyone polled ages of the people on the thread?

Best wishes to you also.

Marre, I think age would be a interesting poll. I had assumed everyone was mostly within years of eachother, or at least when the problems started.

Mine began when I was about.. 15 or 16. I'm 20 now..

But I'm keeping in mind the things that have led to this, which all started at that age: antibiotics/birth control (both for acne treatment), bad unhealthy fast-food eating, high sugar intake. Still, age is worth considering, but it may be a good idea for people to include if they can, what their lifestyle was like at the time, as well.

I also own seven dogs, one lives with me personally, which I know can transmit some of the things such as parasites.

Ok, I was 50 when my growling started. I never was a junk food junkie, and only ate fast food some weekends. I did eat alot of simple carbs, wheat based, I guess I fell for the "added fiber" rage - eat wheat everything.
I know I suffer from panic attacks which probably messed with my adrenal production.
And I know now that if I don't watch my intake of sugars and carbs the growling will come back. (then I have to treat it again). So this tells me that something in my system is off whack, and can't handle these items.
Look forward to hearing about others.

This started for me at 17/18 and im now 26. My life style was pretty average, some junk food but mainly mums home cooking, lots of wheat though. I've failed miserably over xmas, didn't go mad but the different food has sent my bowels noise crazy, had a very bad night sleep last night.

It's so weird, you can time your watch by it, as soon as i feel my foods hitting my bowels, the noises kick-off and the gas starts bubbling.

Who has actually seen their doctor about this and what did they say? Im making an appointment this week

I've been taking CandiGone for about 5 days now, and I've had pretty good results so far...

I'm 22 years old...started getting stomach noises when I was 19.

Coast, what kind of lifestyle did you have when it started?
I'm certain mine only contributed to the underlying factor, but I believe I ate a lot of pasta and such, basically the easy foods that are fast to make and easy to come by. Since both Marre and Jen, you say that you ate a lot of high-carb and wheat diets .. that may be a large portion of the problem.

Marre, did a high-fiber diet have a negative effect or a positive one for you?
I am trying to do a colon-cleanser now before I begin my Candida treatment and just try and "start over" I guess. But, it's basis is on fiber, and I always get a lot of gas on fiber.

Also, I've had the worst pains in my entire abdomen about 5 of 6 times since August, at night, usually accompanied by vomiting or constipation OR diarrhea. A general painful nauseous feeling. Has this happened for anyone? I also have noticed increased tiredness, loss of energy since this has started, most notably in the past year or so. I'm sure I've asked this before, but as we keep moving I have trouble remembering everything that we have covered. I'd appreciate to know if I'm the only one experiencing these other things... thank you!

I used to eat ALOT of junk food. We're talking eating fast food at least once a day, and many times twice a day. I would absolutely binge when I would go to Del Taco (taco tuesday = alot of tacos) lol. I'm not a big guy (5'11 170), but I could eat like no other. The funny thing is that I knew it would eventually catch up with me, but I just didn't think it would happen this soon.

I did a bad thing a few hours ago... I went to hometown buffet and binged on the food. Needless to say, I'm feeling it with the stomach noises right now. The last few days that I had been on Candigone healthy diet, the noises had been down to a bare minimum.

As for pain/vomiting/diarrhea...I don't get any of that stuff. The only thing I've noticed a bit since I started the Candigone was a bit of tiredness and some random headaches, but that could also be to the lack of food i had been eating (trying to cut out the carbs and sugars).

There's another VERY important factor that I forgot to mention in this...

The first few years I had the stomach noises, they were relegated to classroom settings. Not only that, but those noises that I got then were quite different than the ones I get one. Back then, I would get noises as gas would build up and then pass through my intestines. This made the "inner farting" sounds. I have a history of anxiety and I know that this was a major cause of these noises because as soon as I would stand up and walk outside, they would go away. I would not get ANY sounds at home or anywhere outside of my school life. I DID have very mild digestive-type (in my abdomen) noises during this period (at school only...weird), and I think my anxiety about them exacerbated the situation and caused me to develop the gas buildup inner farting. So in summation, this period of my life (age 19-21)it was definitely a mix of anxiety very mild digestive issues.

However, about a year ago, I got a severe pain in my abdomen while at an amusement park and I ended up in the E.R. They checked everything out and I was fine. They did, however, give me FLAGYL and CIPRO for what they called diverticulitis and things have never been the same since. For the past year I've been dealing with the the bubbly, gurgly, squeely, popping sounds that occur AROUND the clock. These seem to be the noises that all of us on this board are trying to cure. They seem to come from EVERYWHERE. I get them on the right side of my abdomen, left side, upper portion, and worst of all, in my lower colon area (I can actually feel it vibrate in my butt...blah cough ). And to make matters worse, I also still get the gas build up sounds that I experienced before (when I get anxious). :/

Coheed, i think the next time you experience any pain/vomitting etc, you should see your doctor, just for peace of mind.

I took a probiotic for the first time last night with my evening meal. I had a very quite night then all hell broke loose in work this morning even though i followed my routine. I've never had this before, im so confussed, i don't understand why it made things so much worse Sad

Jen, it's hard for me to go find a doctor at this present time because I have to go through family practitioners and then be recommended or turned over to a G.I. specialist to keep it in our insurance (or something along those lines, is what my mom tells me since she handles the plans currently), but the doctor just passes it all off as "normal digestion" or possible IBS. .. Sad

It's a pain, and I plan on getting around to fixing it and doing something about it myself, but at this time I don't have the capacity to find and pay for my own doctor at the moment... but, it's good advice haha, thankyou.

I still feel like if I can stay strict with my diet, I should be getting better! But I've had a lot more noises and gas lately in this past day or two, but I'm not sure if it's because of the colon cleanser I'm trying. Also, I've had mixed experiences with some probiotics, I feel like it makes sense that they could have a bad reaction if they are fighting something..

Also, I should mention it isn't like diarrhea really, I just couldn't think of a word. It's like literal undigested food, as if nothing had even occurred while going through my stomach... I have no idea.

Coast, I know the wierd lower vibrations. I haven't had that in a long long time, but yes, I had that happen to me a fair amount near the second year of this or so. Have you changed your diet dramatically?

I got a warning about posting links on this sight, but if you guys go into a search bar and type in Easy Digestion Recipes, and things along those lines, I have found a few nice websites with interesting recipes that attempt to keep out gluten, or carbs, and soluable fibers.

Eric, what exactly is Oxypowder? And how are the fibers that you are taking working for you? What would you say is the key part of your routine?

Sorry for all these questions, but I'm so nervous again about starting a new semester with these problems again without much of a solution yet.

I agree if you are having side pains that last, go to the doctor. I have a friend who had side pains for several, and just figured it was gas. She is now going in to have 8 inches of her colon removed due to infection in an area that she had been having diverticulitis pains, and didn't know it.
We have to listen when our bodies tell us something.
When I first started treating this noise problem and took CandiaGone, I thought how can I do this diet, so I read up on a diet called something Beach (I am not sure about the guidelines for naming things in this forum, so hope you can figure it out) I was able to use that information in the book and come up with meals I could eat. My fiber came from fruits (no oranges and only green apples - less sugar)and veggies (no peas or carrots, too much sugar) and I allowed myself my special bread once a week. That got me through the 15 day treatment. And I have followed that everytime I have had to go back and do the treatment.
I was also told to watch coffee consumtion, coffee is hard on the stomach and will kill good bacteria. (how many coffee drinkers out there, I allow my self one cup a day)
Has anyone had any sucess with the CandiGone treatment or did you try it, but not stick to the diet guidelines.
The holidays are so hard to do things like this, it gets depressing just trying.
How about Oregano Oil, has anyone tried that, I just read it is used to kill off bad bacteria and aid in digestion problems.
There is a probiotic called Pearls IC, it is said that it can make it through the digestive system without losing its punch and will make it to the lower intestines to help replentish the flora. I have started on that one.
There is so much information on this thread, thanks to everyone for sharing.

Hello Everyone,

Coheed, I have been taking OxyPowder and it seems to be helping, actually I think it's pretty good. Since I work and I just started my old job after quiting my other job due to my stomach noises I don't have any vacation time. You are suppose to take the pills for a week, but I only took them for 4 days and now I will take them for another 3 days. I really don't want to take these pills, while at work. On the 4th day of taking the pills, there was this beige pasty stuff coming out with my stool. Sorry for getting into details, but I didn't know if it may have been something related to candida or the OxyPowder. I need to take 8 pills every evening to get like 5 bowel movements a day, which is pretty cool. After I clean out my colon a bit, I'll start taking the CandiGone and start taking the ParaGone again. I also bought some Oregano Oil and I'll start taking that.

While I was at work I had some pie and that made things bad. It wasn't as bad as it use to be, but you could hear the noises. It seems that everything that provokes Candida seems to make my stomach make noises. It's hard being on a Candida Diet, but I think we really have to keep up with it. I'm going back to eating Meat and Veggies. I also find that eating Oatmeal with water helps a lot. I take this every morning and I don't have any problems. If you don't like this, then have some eggs in the morning.

My problem started up when I started drinking alcohol and stopped Cross Country. I also started to eat really unhealthy and I started to eat more sweet foods. I really got more stomach noises after I graduated from my university and I thought it was due to a trip that I did to Asia. I have also done lots of trips before and thought it may have been caused by Parasites. Now I really think that my problem is caused by Candida and I have felt so much better when I eat healthy. I have been spending so much time doing research and trying new things.

I read good things about OxyPowder and I haven't felt anything bad with them. When I take the pills my stomach gurgles, but it's because I have a bowel movement coming up.

I will keep you guys posted on how thing are going with the pills and I hope this does the trick.

I just wanted to tell everyone that I took probiotics and at first I had some chest pains, but after taking them for a month the pains went away. On one day I took like 10 pills and I didn't feel any pains. I also bought some PB8, which is a probiotic that I read about on another post, but I haven't taken it yet.

I hope that everyone can find a solution to their problem and I will keep you guys posted if I notice anything that helps. I'm also going to do some more research and I'll keep you guys posted.

The age/condition poll is a really good idea. I was 27 or 28 when the noises started and I was living a super healthy lifestyle (no drinking, no smoking, healthy diet, and getting about 2 hours of intense exercise 4-5 times a week). I'm 31 now. So far I haven't seen a common thread here. We've got people whose problems have started old and young, healthy and active and not so healthy.

How about psychological factors? Someone mentioned panic attacks. I also have panic and depression problems. I had an experience about ten years ago over which I feel a great deal of guilt. My psychiatrist keeps suggesting that this has something to do with my stomach problems, but in my experience every doctor sees this thing from their own perspective (my GI wants to give me meds, nutritionists want to change my diet, my psychiatrist thinks it's psychological, etc.) so who knows? Anyone else under psychological stress?

Thumb, stress can also cause candida. Here is a quote that I got from a website

"Stress can cause yeast growth for several reasons. Stress causes the release of certain hormone called CORTISOL . Cortisol can depress the immune system and also raise blood sugar. The elevation in blood sugar can feed the yeast cells allowing them to grow quickly. The depression in immune function will leave the body defenseless against the sudden elevation in yeast. These two reaction tend to happen together as cortisol goes up. This is the exact reason why stress causes Candida. Cortisol can be addicting to the body. It raises sugar and relieves inflammation. There have been a few studies that show the body can become addicted to it and try to keep it elevated. There are several simple nutrients that help lower cortisol levels back to normal by telling the nervous system to relax."

For the most part I'm a pretty high strung person and living in Los Angeles didn't help. I'm not sure why stomach noises would affect a perosn with a healthy diet. The only idea I can come up with is that you may have parasites or IBS. I know one person stated that the majority of us either have leaky gut syndrome, parasites or IBS.

I'm not trying to promote colon cleansing, but maybe you may want to try cleaning out your colon with a cleanser like Colonix or OxyPowder and then try some Paragone and see if you feel any better. I also highly recommend Activa yogurts and probiotics.

I know stress is a big factor, but I'm sure there are other things that play into our stomach noises. I have tried to reduce my stress, but my job can be somewhat stressful. I now live in Houston and the humidity is pretty bad in the summer and I was reading about how this sort of weather can affect people with Candida.

As I was telling other people earlier I was in a gov. training program in Georgia and when I got a tetanus and hepatitus shot I started to have LOUD stomach noises, to the point where I had to quit. I was reading online about candida and it stated that Candida gets triggered by immunization and vaccination shots.

I'm going to stick with the colon cleansing and all the flax seed oil, caprylic acid, grapefruit seed extract, oregano oil, l-glutamina, bentonite, probiotics, paragone, candigone, garlic pills and the other pills that I can't think about after I clean out my colon a bit.

I woke up this morning with a bowl movement and I really let out a lot. As I type this, which is about 1.5 hours from my last bowl movement, I can feel that I need to go again.

I'm now going to get my parents on this too, since they also have stomach noises, but it's easy for them as they are retired and own income properties.

Well the best of luck to everyone, Eric

Thumb, I agree that stress adds to the yeast growth. If only we could control our day to day lives and have no stress. We will always have it, we need to learn how to counter act the side effects of it on the body. For some reason our bodies can't handle it on their own.

Even though I think colon cleansing has a purpose, the bottom line is the yeast overgrowth (if that is your problem) will return unless you can find out what the triggers are, like the types of food you eat, or the level of stress in your life.

I suffer from panic attacks once in awhile, and I if I think back that started pretty bad about the time my problems started. In the two years I have been able to get a handle on the attacks, but I fear it has damaged some part of my body that use to be able to control the yeast. So my goal is to keep the yeast over growth at bay, with diet and CandiGone when needed and probiotics everyday.

Thumb, I'm similar to Marre that my panic attacks started with this problem, as well as the elevated anxiety and stress, etc. It does sound like perhaps the Candida treatments could be a solution, or at least a help. What are you trying right now?

Also, I'm not sure if I am being redundant, but for all of you on the Candida meds, are they working well for you? As well as Paragone when you were on it ( if you were, that is)?

The Paragone was a miracle for me.. I'm most likely going to pick it up again soon once classes start up again, but as for now, I'm following a similar pattern as Eric, with the colon cleansers, and then the Candida diets/treatments.

I know Jen and I had mentioned that Salmon dinners were our failsafe foods, and I know a lot of others have listed what they eat, but I just feel like so much of this food is a snack or bland list. Does anybody have an MEALS or recipes that they enjoy? For example, eric, do you use garlic and such with eggs, or anything with your Oatmeal? Does it affect you if you make the Oatmeal the normal way?

Thanks everyone, I know we all have a lot to say, and I really do appreciate the listening and responses from each of you. And, as always.. good luck.

I eat only steel cut oatmeal and use rice milk. I have a recipe for a killer meatloaf that I can eat and it is a meal in itself.
Unfortunately, I have had to give up alot of things, but I find salads can make a meal interesting. (as long as I feel better, that is my reward really)
I try to limit my gulten and sugar intake, which makes for a happy tummy.

Here's to a better health wise New Year to everyone.Marre

Hi all,

Feeling really positive for the new year today, had a good morning in work and have been doing well with the 'diet' although i am going out for a curry tonight but will have the blandest thing on the menu!

For me, all this started after a period of major ill health (crohn's disease diagnosis)this was incredibly stressful but i think maybe i have damage in my colon or the steriods i was on have triggered these problems.

Coheed, i dont really understand how the health service works in the US, i think it's terrible that you don't ALL get FREE health care no matter what your personal circumstances but i think you should keep going back to your doctor until you're taken seriously. I saw mine about 10 times before i was sent to a specialist and eventually diagnosed with Crohn's (i dont think for a second you have this, i was bed-bound and very very poorly) but this problem is having a huge impact on our lives and i think your doctor needs to take it seriously and not brush it off as IBS. Im seeing mine in the new year.

Some recipes:

Spagetti bolognase:
Fry mince, add chopped onion, garlic, celery, carrot (any veg you fancy)
Add tin chopped tomatoes and tomato puree
Add herbs (dry or fresh) basil, nutmeg, pinch of salt

Simmer for 20 mins, thicken with a little cornflour mixed with water

Instead of pasta a side salad or, this sounds wierd but is very yum, red cabbage, finely sliced and stir fried until soft.

I also like roasted vegetables:cherry tomatoes, corgette, red onion, peppers, mushrooms. Mix with omega oil, garlic and herbs and roast for 20 mins. Great with chicken wings or thighs roasted in the oven.

xx
