Is Vermox an antibiotic? Are you sure? How long do you need to take it? Are there any side effects?

Can you get it over the counter?

I ran out of my Paranil. Its been almost 2 week since I haven't taken it and my stomach is sooooooooo annoying. Pops, gurgles, twitches all over my body, feel sooooo grumpy and agitated.... Just can't settle down and sit still...

Vermox is an antihelmintic, used to treat helminth infections (a type of parasite). I think we should remember that the term "pasrasite" is very broad but is generally used to describe eukaryotic single and milti-cellular organisms invading the body. There are thousands of different species and they all can take host in a different location in the body. There are hookworms, tapeworms, whipworms, pinworms, amebiasis, ascariasis, filarial worms, the list goes on. If anyone here seriously suspects a parasitic infection, you need to go to the doctor and get it diagnosed and treated. If you are indeed infected, they will be able to test for parasites using most commonly a blood smear or fecal smear, and then put you on the appropriate drugs. The thing with parasites is that the drugs used to kill them are targeting eukaryotic cells, so they tend to be pretty harsh and have lots of side effects. Please go get tested though, because these drugs only exist because the side effects are much less severe than the potential complications of having a parasite infections and not treating it properly.

Thank You so much stdymdcn07. Exactly what I wanted to know.

I guess I'll stick to Paranil. I think I will keep taking it for a few more months.

I wish somebody had told me about herbal antiparasitic treatments like Paranil years ago. In our family we always doubted having parasites since we were kids. My sisters used to be nagging and nagging my mom about parasites, because they were really sure they had parasites, plus we weren't growing as well as the other kids. But my mom always held us back from getting medication since she said that they had too many side effects and that it wasn't worth it.

I wish somebody had told me about Paranil, or Paragone, etc.... I am sure I would have done something about parasites if only I had known about alternatives besides medications. After all looking back now my symptoms were bad enough to have done something about it...

Don't give up! I know exactly how you feel. You can order Paragone online. Also, order Super Digestive Enyzmes by Soloray. These are good enzymes and anti-parasitic.

In the meantime, eat Garlic cloves, pumpkin seeds, and drink pineapple juice.

Send me a private message if you want to chat.

I just looked up first cleanse...It has a lot of good herbs. It wouldn't hurt to try it. The same company that makes first cleanse also makes paragone. See if you can get the paragone.

Paragone Ingredients:

I didn't rush to the bathroom, but for the first few days my stomach was rumbling and I felt a lot of movement. Are you taking a probiotic and digestive enzymes?

What have you tried to calm the noises?

Hi all,

I haven't been able to get online for 2 months and i've really missed you all-good to hear of all the new things people are trying.

I've had a very bad few weeks, the noises haven't been any worse but the anxiety has been huge and i've been having VERY negative thought about the future. Thankfully, i've pulled myself back up and have had a lovely couple of weeks- feeling positive about life again.

Helpwanted, we all know how you feel, im in the UK too and if ever you need someone to chat to please don't hesitate to send me a post. When im feeling really terrible i think of all the good things in my life. We have to learn to live with the cards we've been dealt.

Helpwanted, try cottage cheese and Nairns oatcakes. They really help my stomach noise and don't cause me any problems, also natural yogurt helps and i eat porrige in the mornings. Also, get up a bit earlier in the morning and spend 20mins on the loo before brekfast and 30 mins after, doing #2, this usually leaves me ok for 3 1/2 hours. I hope this help. Where do you work? In an office? It's torture isn't it!!

i found out it will cost about $60 just to get one box of paragone, so i cant do that. i mite try that similar product by the same company that imentioned.
growl gurl... i have been taking digestive enzymes, probiotics, milk thiclete, anti-candi, caprylic acidand chlorella aswell as an aloe vera cleanse but it wasnt helping and it was too hard to take it all so i lost hope and gave up.
hi jen, have you looked for pragone in the uk? or are you taking something else... oatcakes and porridge do nothing for me im afraid, food makes little difference anymore...

help wanted,

Look and see if you can find a digestive enzymes that consist of:

betaine HCL

Pancreatin 4x**

Ox Bile Extract 100 mg *

wow...that is a lot for the paragone..

BTW...did you try eating small amounts of raw garlic?

I would go ahead and try the first cleanse. I don't know how unhealthy you eat, but have you tried monitoring your food. Have you eliminated food intolerances?

i take general digestive senzymes...
im tempted by the first cleanse but i just dont see it working.
i used to have a really bad diet, but over the last few months ive realsied the damdage this wad doing to me and i eat a lot healthier now, i rarely have choclate or anything sugary... i eat wholemeal bread and try to eat planty of ruit and veg and i drink lots of water, but i still find it hard going to the loo enough, im taking fibre atm but that just makes me have really bad gas and have to go to the loo lots after my evening meal.

ive been tested for ceoliac ~(it runs in my family) and diary allergys and i didnt have either. the only dairy i have is mik on my cereal, yoghurt and some cheese sometimes

but of course if this is candida, this is still a diet the yeast will love

I wish i had some answers, i'm in a trickey position as i have Chron's disease and these noises could well just be part of that so i haven't tried anything as im scared to make my chron's worse. I don't actually think the noises are part of my chron's though, i think it's something separate. I'll start looking for paragone in the UK too, 2 heads are better than one!

I can't tell you how happy i am to have found people who understand how bad this is. I've confided in my mum and dad and they are a huge support but they don't really understand. The best thing i did last year was tell them, i'd hidden it for 7 years before then and the best thing this year is finding you guys.

I would really recommend telling someone for people who haven't yet, i was really scared and embarresed to but it's helped. Whenever i go to my parents now, my mum always has the tv on in the background or some music playing and at a recent family christening, she saved me and my husband a seat at the back where i'd feel more comfy. I know it's not much but it's helped x

help wanted,

All 'general' digestive enzymes are not the same. Just like all probiotics are not the same. I really like the Super Digestaway by Solaray.
It has really good ingredients for digesting and ant-parasitic. Since you can't get the paragone, see if you can get the Super Digestaway. It cost about $6 or $7 for 60 capsules.

I've tried quite a few digestive enzymes that didn't work. I know what you mean when you say digestive enzymes don't work. You have to find the right one, just like with probiotics. I'm having good results with Super Digestaway, and they are cheap! I take one before meals and whenever I have a rumbling storm. (lol)

I think that we have a problem with digesting our foods. What is causing the poor digestion is the question. It 'could be' the parasites, food intolerance, allergies, etc...

Trust me, I'm on this embarrassing problem 24/7. When and if I find a 100% cure, I will definitely post and I hope you all do the same.

Jen07, It's good that you were able to talk to your family about your problem. Does your husband stomach rumble too? My husband has the same problem except his is not major.

Helpwanted...

again, I've felt the same way. However, I've been doing considerably well lately. My anxiety disappeared when I started Paragone, and even now that I'm pretty much off of it, the anxiety hasn't come back and neither have much of the noises. My stomach still hurts a lot, queasy kind of, intestinal area. That is terrible, and I usually have to go to the bathroom to relieve the serious noises, then they go away so I try to do that before I go anywhere important.

Also, I used to have a terrible diet as well, and I've been eating healthier for almost a year now, and I think that it will just take time to notice results... the garlic that growgurl mentioned really helped me out, even just to calm my anxiety. I would do what you are doing and look for things that have the same ingredients as paragone, do they have RenewLife products at ALL in the UK or would you have to have them all shipped? Oh, something you could try is to look up Paragone on a "product comparison" website, and see what other brands people have recommended or they compare with, and then see if you can get those ones where you are at.

I forgot to mention, my noises I notice when I am laying down, which starts in the morning really, but once I get up and start moving around they tend to go away, and as well if I don't think about them... which I know is hard, but like I've said, that Paragone got rid of my anxiety for the most part. I still don't trust myself in movie theatres though... ha. I feel relatively positive though now. And I REALLY do know how you have felt, everyone here does. Try everything. It's all that you can do.
