Hey guys,

I know a lot of you have mentioned the Leaky Gut syndrome, and I managed to find some time to glance at a website about it.

It seems to make a lot of sense. It would also make a lot of sense to those of us who tried ParaGone, but didn't think that we had parasites. ParaGone is recommended as a cleanser as well as a Colon cleanser, it's possible to have both. Paragone can only help Leaky Gut.

What I gathered is that it is basically caused by unhealthy eating habits. In otherwords, bad food, fast food, sugary food, antibiotics, excessive drinking, etc. No doubt we all have done at least some of those, although I'm sure that a lot more people do than just us, so perhaps we just have weaker intestines for it. I would recommend you guys look it up, maybe we can all get some information on it, and maybe put together a good diet and health system for now!

Also, my healthstore just stocked an entire wall of Probiotics, woo! Smile

Oh God
I've been through every single page on this thread and it all seems so hopeless. The fact that there isn't one actual treatment that works for everyone points towards the idea that this is all psychological. If it is, than I can cope with that, I'll just have to figure out exactly HOW I will fix it. I'm a 17 year old guy and this just started happening to me when I entered senior year. When I'm at my house, or with my friends this usually doesn't happen. I only experience this at rare times alone and almost 6-7 times per day at school. It's a growling sound that is too close to a fart to go unnoticed. Maybe I'm just unlucky? Maybe all of us are. I'm glad to know that I'm not alone, and I'm going to try some of the suggestions people gave but it seems hopeless. I mean I haven't had it affect any relationships; yet.

Anyways, I really hope that I'll figure out how to deal with this curse so that I can share what I found out with you guys. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Sad

EDIT:

GrowGurl, you seem to know the most about this stuff but are you sure it's parasites? This sickness, curse, whatever you want to call it, seems to be different to everyone. Sure, there are groups of people who have a certain stem of it, but not every user here has the same symptoms. I mean, I really really really want to use paragone but I don't want to think of using it without any parasites down there for it to be used on. Are you sure those parasite eggs, as you called them, aren't just something from the paragone? Did you ever get your stool sample's results back? I'd appreciate if you told me.

This sucks though, I think the sure for now is just to simply not think about it. I'll try that all tomorrow.

EDIT:

*edited for profanity, I'm getting tested for parasites lol

Skeksis,

It is highly unlikely that this is solely our mentalities. You should be able to tell the difference between physical ailment and a mentally or stress induced one. Sadly, we all agree that to an extent, it is a large factor. Like, when I started Paragone and remembered what it was like without the noises and wierd feelings, my anxiety went ... absurdly low. It was amazing. And even now when i'm not on Paragone, even if I feel like my stomach may act up, the anxiety is still nothing to what it was before. And that does help a lot.

But, regardless, for multiple reasons, it's physical. No reason for it not to be considering how unhealthy we all eat these days Sad

I think you're very right to try and control your stress and anxiety about it! But, it does not hurt to look into a solution. Sad

Paragone, also, is used mainly to "balance intestinal flora", which is why I think it works regardless of actual parasites or not. Anyway, I would suggest, for you, to go to a healthstore, and try any simply Digestive aid... I really like Renew life. They really seem to get the gist of things. A lot of the things they offer are natural, and you can read the ingredients. Many are just herbal concentrated. You don't have to do one of the big programs, a lot are just daily digestive help Smile I'm going to try some once I finish this last Paragone bottle.

Anyway, good luck.

Here's what I do to combat stomach noise, which is loud and embarrassing, like everyone says. First of all, it doesn't happen to me after breakfast, just after lunch. So if I have to meet with anyone after lunch, I just don't eat lunch. Tough to do, maybe, but if you have a decent breakfast, it's not too bad. And I feel much better with a quite, empty stomach than with a full growling stomach.

Hello everyone,

sorry for not posting in a little while, but my account was suspended for posting links on here. So no more posting links. So I have been taking Metamucil, Flax Seed Oil, Probiotics, Caprylic Acid and some of the liquid black wood that I had left from the paragone package. I have been feeling better, but on some days I wake up with morning noises, which never really happened a while back. I feel much better than I did 2 month's ago after getting some shots. I have been on a strict diet, just eating like meat/seafood and veggies. I have not eaten any sugar in the last week and a half and at first I felt horrible, now I feel better. I was reading online how this process takes some time and i hope this is the problem to my stomach noises.

I do think that mental anxiety plays a role, but I wouldn't say it's the cause to our stomach noises. When I was taking exams in August, I would have to sit for like 2 hours and I got worried, but I did not make one noise. I was soo proud back then, but then I got these shots and they ruined my life. I gota do some more research about Candida and how a Teneanus and hepatitus shot could get you sick. I do remember the nurse saying if you are alergic to yeast, do not take this shot, so I'm guessing thats where the problem arose. Like a day later after I got the shots my stomach was GROWLING like it has never growled before. I'm hoping those shots wear off and I'm able to restore my health and get rid of these stomach noises.

I have to say DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. I have been having some bentonite, since it's good for cleansing, but I haven't been taking it too often, but I guess I should. I am going to try this for like the next month or two and I hope things get better and if they do, then I can go back to school YAY.

I think that one should cut out sugar, wheat, flour, yeast, dairy from their diets and also no alcohol. After I have breakfast, which is scrambled eggs with garlic, onions and bell peppers I am good until lunch time. I make sure to take all my pills like a hour before eating breakfast or lunch and this really helps. Also forcing yourself to burp seems to help, but don't do it excessively. On my drive to work I moved around and the movement in my car moves me around a bit and I don't know why, but this helps. I remember when I was in this government training, I would ride my bike to the breakfast hall and I would not get any stomach noises at all. I have to say in 4 weeks that I was there, I only made like 3 minor stomach noises. I think it really has to do with what we eat and how we eat and allergies to certain foods. I also think excercise is important, but I have been kinda lagging in that area.

Well the best of luck to everyone and keep trying new things and do more research. The more we look into it and find different methods the more solutions we can come up with to help each other. I mean instead of saying I think I may try to do this or you guys try it and let me know how it goes, take a proactive approach and try it. I mean people can only take so many things and I think that if people start trying new things we can try to come up with a solution quicker.

I'm going to continue to stay on this diet for as long as I can and take as many pills as I can. I will probably place a large order on an online herbal store, since they are probably cheaper than buying them in a regular store and if you spend over $100, which I know I will, they give you free shipping.

The quicker we find solutions to these problems, the quicker we can live our normal lives. Some of us like myself have to alter our careers, because of these stomach noises and some people may drop out of school because of these noises. I know this problem has affected me sooo much and I am SICK of it and I want a solution and I will do what I can to find one. Best of luck to everyone.

Just found out about some supplements.

The following contain a combination of wild oregano oil or capsules, garlic, caprylic acid, and grapefruit seed extract. So this way we wouldn't have to get each one individually.

"Company: Gaia Herbs; Product: Candida Supreme Vital
Company: Solaray Product: Yeast Cleanse
Company: Rainbow Light Product: Candida Cleanse"

I was told that "These can be purchased at stores such as The Vitamin Shoppe, Wild Oats, Whole Foods and most mom and pop vitamin stores."

Hello Everyone,

I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and I bought a whole bunch of new things. I was reading online about different methods to treat Candida. Last night I took some garlic pills and some Zinc pills, this morning my stomach made some loud noises, that it hadn't made in weeks. I think/hope this is a good sign, because the cadida might be getting attacked. I've been on this Candida diet for like 2 weeks and I feel MUCH better. Also eating oatmeal in water is very helpful. I know it tastes BLAND and it smells like carboard, but it's good for you. I have been taking so many pills to a target this problem and I read its good not to take everything at once. Try to take like 2 pills everyday for a week then stop and then start another 2 pills for a week and then stop and so on. I was reading that this helps trick the Candida and it helps in not allowing the candida to become immune to all the pills. I wish I could get a colon transplant, but I guess that would be too much, so now I'll just resort to black walnut, milk thistle, probiotics, garlic pills, l-glutimine, bentonite, grapefruit seed extract and digestive enzymes. There are two other types, but I can't recall the names right now. Alright well I hope everyone will try this diet and take these pills and see if they work for you. This diet should be conducted for like 3 months from what I was reading.

I remember one person saying that they use to get chest pains after taking the probiotics and I use to get these chest pains too. I just thought that the good bacteria was killing the bad bacteria. Now that I have been taking these pills for 2 weeks I don't have any more pains in my chest. I would suggest you talk to a doctor, but I didn't. I really think that seeing a doctor can be a waste of time and most just want to charge the insurance company. I told myself that I would try this diet for 3 months and if I don't get rid of these noises, then I would go and see another doctor.

Well good luck everyone, Eric

Update
Hello,

I'm just checking in to say that I'm still targeting Parasites as the cause of the noises. I've been off the paragone for a while now. I've tried something cheaper "Parafree" I didn't quite like it as much as the Paragone. I'm down from 95-97% better to around 85% as far as the noises. One thing that I'm testing is organic fennel tea. I've had quite a bit of noises this week, but the fennel tea has helped TREMENDOUSLY. I drink the fennel tea in the morning and afternoon. Also, when I was under attack with the noises, I dranked the tea and the noises subsided quick.

Well, I hope everyone is trying something new to get to the root of this MAJOR social embarrassment PROBLEM, because we are definitely on our own.

hey everyone..
i have also been experiencing constant LOUD gurgling..sometimes it comes from my stomach other times i hear REALLY loud gurgling/bubbling/churning in my intestines. This is so loud that my class can hear it over the teachers lecture. I also experiene excessive gas and bloating daily. I have noticed that I have been burping moe lately and i hear/feel bubbling in my throat constantly. There is no real pain..just chronic discomfort. This started about 6 months ago..I have cut out sodas, sugars, dairy and still no difference. I also went about 2 weeks avoiding gluten but nothing. I am taking probiotics and digestive enzymes which i have found to help with the bloating A LITTLE..I dont know what else to try, and I dont think its a parasite. I haveposted about my "condition" in 2 other forums but have not recieve any response thus I am posting here, to see if maybe some can please help me with this embarassing problem.

Btd I am glad to hear that you have tried the Gluten Free diet, but I think two weeks isn't enough. If you don't me asking how old are you? One thing that I noticied is that some people are getting these noises at like 15, 16 years old, but I didn't really get these noises until I was in college and moreso after I finished. When I was in school I drank a lot, being in a fraternity. I didn't eat healthy and I was under a lot of stress. I also didn't sleep a whole lot and I slept odd hours. I remember reading someone saying that more than likely it's either Parasites, Leaky Gut Syndrome or IBS. I typed "Alcohol and intestinal problems" and it showed me some info on the Leaky Gut Syndrom.

I don't know if you have taken a lot of antibiotics or eaten a lot of sugar or been under a lot of stress. There are many factors that can lead to Candida, which causes a Leaky Gut. I'm no doctor, but this is just from what I have read. Try to Google it and see what you find as I got in trouble for posting links on here. I have been feeling SOOO much better on this diet, but not only the diet I take so many supplement pills. I take L-Glutamine, Garlic Pills, Zinc, Pau d' Arc, Caprylic Acid, Milk Thistle, Black Walnut, Psyllum Husk Fiber (SP?), Metamucil fiber pills, Flax Seed Oil, Probiotics, Bentonite and Digestive Enzymes. I know this is a lot, but you need a lot to kill any fungus that may be in your intestines. I was reading about taking like 2 types of pills for a week and then stop and then try another 2 for a week and then stop and try another 2 and so on. Because this does allow the fungus to become immune to the supplements. I have noticied that my stomach makes more noises in the morning, when I take Zinc pills from the night before. Also drink plenty of water, this is very important. I am drinking like 6-8 cups a day.

I would also try doing a natural herbal cleanse. I have read about Oxy-Powder and I think I will try that during the Holidays, since I don't want to try this during work.

You also have to follow a strict diet. I mainly just eat veggies, meat and seafood. One thing that is also important is that you should eat Oatmeal with water, not milk, like every morning. If you get tired of that eat eggs with lots of onions and garlic. Eating garlic is good to kill fungus and parasites.

Try reading online about a Candida diet. I have been on it for about 2 weeks and I feel MUCH better than I did 2 months ago. I hope to keep with this diet for atleast 3 months. I know it's hard, but it's okay to cheat every now and then, but just don't consume all these foods you shouldn't be eating.

Also excercise is very important, if you are a bit on the heavy side, start running and even if your not start running. I need to do some more, but this may also be your problem.

This type of diet should also be good to rid your body of Parasites, but I would also take some Paragone, but I head mainly taking Cloves, Black Walnut and something else I can't remember right now is what you really need to take.

Well good luck to everyone and I need to rid my body of these noises, before I start law school. I hope I can get this done by early next year. Best of luck to everyone and let us all know what you are trying and what is working for you.

I am 16, I dont really drink..and I follow what I would consider a healthy diet---lots of veggies and since I dont really like meats I make sure I eat a good amount of protein. Lots of water. I rarely ever eat sweets or any junk food..I eat a lot of fiber and take vitamins. Is there some sort of test that a doctor can do to confirm its candida?

Do you consume a lot of dairy products. If so you are probably lactose intollerant. When did you notice to have stomach problems? Have you taken any foreign trips in the past 2 years, where you could have gotten parasites? I don't think I have parasites, but I thought I did, since I use to travel quite a bit. I am still going to take some Paragone and clean my stomach in the event that I may have parasites. I am also going to order some OxyPowder as I have been reading great reviews about the product to clean out your colon, in a natural way.

Since your young and you say you live a healthy diet, I would think that you do not have Candida, but I'm not 100% sure. You can go to a Doctor and get checked, but there are only two labs in the US that check for Candida. I was going to contact these labs and see which doctors they recommend in my area. You can also get checked for food alergies.

If I was you I would try Paragone and cut out Dairy and Glutons from your diet. Also try taking some supplements like garlic pills, caprylic acid, milk thistle, grapefruit seed extract, zinc and fiber pills (Metamucil). Try this for like 2 months at least. If you don't notice a change, then I would go and see a doctor and see what he has to say.

Let us know how everything is going and how your stomach feels.

One more thing that I was reading on another site, when I was reading about stomach noise and pain. Sorry to sound so graphic, but I was reading about ejaculation and how this affects your stomach and can cause it to become upset.

I urge everyone to look online and do research and post what they learn on here, so that we can brainstorm. I know everyone wants to rid themselves of this problem. I am SOOOO determined to rid myself of this problem as it has caused me soo many problems.

i dont really eat dairy products...i havent for a few months now in an attempt to try and rid myself of these noises but nothing changed..so then i began to eat those yogurts with natural cultures to help digestion. I will try the "garlic pills, caprylic acid, milk thistle, grapefruit seed extract" you listed. I take vitamins that have zinc and vitamin b on the side--for digestion as well. I also have been taking fiber supplements for about a month as well. I will try to cut out the glutens..i have been watching my intake with that--cutting out breads and cereals and other wheat/grain products. I dont really think i have a parasite bc this has been going on for a while but my symptoms do not extend to altered bowel movements--they are normal and i read that with a parasite they infect your intestines--so i do not think i would be having this burping/esophageal bubbling/gurgling, alongside my stomach issues. I have been looking around online and I think it might be acid reflux or something similar...i have made an appt at the doctors for next month(earliest time available) thank you for your suggestions..i will keep you posted on how it goes.

Some Updates
Hey people,
I'm just posting some updates to try to contribute the communal pool of knowledge here, which I think is quite helpful. I have an understanding G.I. doc who is very willing to explore possible avenues of treatment for whatever this spasm condition is. On the parasite front, she gave me a prescription for Vermox, which is an antibiotic that is used to treat all parasite of the "worm" persuasion (roundworms, tapeworms, etc.) I've also done a round of Tindamax and Alinia before, both of which are used to treat various other kinds of intestinal parasites (giardia, etc). None of those treatments seemed to help me, but I also admit that some of us might be suffering from similar symptoms with different causes, so who knows?
My GI suggested trying a several-month long round of physical therapy for 'pelvic floor dysfunction', which I thought was an interesting idea. The theory there is that there is some kind of muscle misfiring or imbalance. I think it's an interesting idea, so I'm giving it a try, but they said to give it a couple of months before giving up, so it'll be a while before I can really evaluate the therapy. I'll keep you posted.
I also started taking a drug called Lotronex, which was briefly taken off the market for a while but is now available again. It's really for people with diarrhea-predominant IBS, but it acts on the neurotransmitters that affect gut motility, and she thinks it's worth a try to see if it quiets the spasms. I used to have bad diarrhea along with these spasms, but, luckily, that's not such a big deal for me anymore.(I did the so-called 'Vivonex Protocol' suggested by Dr. Mark Pimentel, and, while it was HARD, I think it helped a lot with the diarrheal symtoms.) It will take a month or two to cycle through the various suggested dosing regimens with the Lotronex, but, again, I'll keep you guys informed.
I saw in one of the above posts that someone was trying Buscospan. I'd be really curious to hear if that helped at all.

It's great everyone is trying so many different things, but I'm going to use you all as test subjects for these! I don't seem to have the time or effort to try so many different things. I'm trying to just eat healthier and deal. My stomach has made noises.... but they just feel like gas and such that I can squeeze in my intestines, which is what I've always had, but it is subsiding a lot more quickly. I stopped keeping up with my paragone when I went on vacation, but now when my stomach acts up, I just take two of the pills, and it is gone.

I've had to go back onto antibiotics, which ... somebody had mentioned one type as a treatment (I think Thumb), but I wouldn't recommend it. Antibiotics are terrible for you, I think everyone's best bet here is to keep going natural. The more natural you are, the healthier you will end up being. I cannot wait until I can stop my antibiotics and then try a hardcore food plan, but in college, it's so difficult to eat healthy! My noises also started several years ago in highschool.

Also, I've been feeling a lot of rumbling lately from my very very lower intestines, which is nothing new, but more frequent now that I am off the Paragone program. I'm mostly aware of it when I wake up in the middle of the night or when I wake up in the morning and am still laying down. Also, I think I need a fiber sort of supplement, but not one that also gives gas. I think RenewLife makes one that I'm going to check with.

In general though, I'm doing a lot better, probably just the change in diet, being off the antibiotics for a while (Sad) and doing the natural things. I'm going to try the tea that Growgurl has mentioned if I can find it, as I've heard much about it before. Also, I'm going to try a cleansing program over holidays, like Eric mentioned, and see how that goes. I'm going to try and stay with the Natural-emphasized treatments, as with antibiotics I'm already screwing myself up. Good luck everyone, and keep posting! I think we can figure this out.....

I'm starting a 14 day Prilosec OTC plan today. I have a history of acid-reflux, and I'm hoping excess acids in my intestines are causing the horrendous amount of gas I get. I will keep you posssstteeed.

P.S. I know we all know this already but this whole intestinal noise thing is absolutely ridiculous. It just makes me so frustrated/mad/depressed to see how big of an impact it's having on my life. I used to want to be a United States Senator, but now I wonder if I'll even be able to work well enough to even be a middle class citizen. Unbelievable.

Is Vermox an antibiotic? Are you sure? How long do you need to take it? Are there any side effects?

Can you get it over the counter?

I ran out of my Paranil. Its been almost 2 week since I haven't taken it and my stomach is sooooooooo annoying. Pops, gurgles, twitches all over my body, feel sooooo grumpy and agitated.... Just can't settle down and sit still...
