Hi everyone. I've had problems with growling and gas since I was a freshman in high school. I'm a senior in college and this summer was the worst. I was doing an internship working at courthouses and it's like working in a library, pretty quiet. Well, when you're sitting there next to 5 co-workers it tends to get embarrassing. I was using GasX to control the sounds, except I was having to go way over dosage for it to work. Recommended dosage of maximum strength was 3 per day, I was using around 8-10 per day. So of course, I began researching and luckily I found this forum. GrowlGurl, thanks for the advice on Paragone. I picked some up the other day and am in my 4th day of using it. It helps a lot and I'm sure it's only going to get better. Today was the first day I noticed anything weird in my poop (looked like the eggs you described) so hopefully this solution does work for me. I have a question, how long did it take for you to get to 95-97% growl-free? I get them occasionally still, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was. Before it was basically every 5 minutes that I would have attacks of growling and gas. Now it's down to an attack every 4 or 5 HOURS. I'm only in my 4th day though, so I'm sure it's going to continue improving. Thanks again for the heads up on the parasites thing. My guess is IBS is being mis-diagnosed and a large portion of people diagnosed with it really just need their intestines cleaned out.

You are still in the early stage. By next week it should get better and better. After about 3 to 4 weeks(I think) is when I was 95-97% better. I can eat whatever I want now. My husband is also doing the parasite cleanse and he said that a lot of foods that use to upset his stomach and give him diarrhea and growling doesn't bother him anymore.

I would recommend you do another cleanse after you are done with this one. It will get better after each cleanse. Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water, and bowels are moving.

As far as the white egg looking seeds, the more you see them in your bowels the better. That means you are getting rid of them. You will also see a lot of mucos stringy stuff too, along with the eggs and seeds. Also, don't forget to build up the good bacteria with probiotics.

I'm glad you are doing the cleanse now, it's a full moon tonight or tomorrow, and that's when the parasite eggs hatch.

Also, when you feel the growl coming on, go to the bathroom and poop. The parasites need to come out. After you poop the noises will stop.

Yes I agree, people are being misdiagnosed. Parasites are difficult to detect so I can see how it's being diagnosed as IBS. Doctors don't know what's wrong, so they have to label you with something.

Good luck to you and keep us posted.

I definitely noticed that going #2 helps when you feel the growls coming on. Unlike before when I would go #2 and the growls would come back within 10 minutes, now when I do it there's no growling for hours. I began taking Culturelle a few days before starting Paragone, although I have not had any Culturelle since starting Paragone. With my busy schedule, I've had a hard time drinking a lot of water although I've tried to keep up. I've also had a hard time taking Paragone 30 minutes before eating. First of all, I rarely eat breakfast, and second of all, I am in class or work from around 9:30 AM to 4 PM every day. When I can get a lunch break, I've tried to take the Paragone. Today I was in a hurry to get to class because I woke up a little late so I did not take my first dose until 12:30 PM. It doesn't seem to be causing problems though, only making things better. I'm sure it's not working as effectively as it could if I was taking the stuff 30 minutes before each meal, etc. but I am confident that it IS working.

And I do plan on taking at least a second box. This is a hell of a lot less expensive in the long run than Gas X. Goodness, maximum strength Gas X was costing me $10-11 per week and doing nothing but masking the problem. This will actually solve the problem hopefully. Smile

It seems to me that the growls are so bad sometimes (or used to be I should say) that it should be OBVIOUS to doctors that it's not just a lame euphemism like "irritable bowel syndrome." At times it's like you can hear the parasites screaming or something, or at least that is how I think of it. They are alive after all. Things are definitely getting better for me.

Growl Gurl, did you have a lot of gas prior to starting Paragone? If so, did it get rid of your gas problem? Although my growls are getting better, the gas is still a problem although not as bad as it was. It's more noticeable than the growls at this point, but it is getting better so hopefully by the time I'm through 2 boxes of Paragone I will be much better off! Thanks again so much for the advice on this, we all owe you big time!

Yeah, we all DO owe you big time. Very very very happy right now Smile

Even on the break in between, I was worried and anxious, but only for one day and then I felt just as fine as when I was on the Paragone.

Good luck with it Growlssuck, let us know how you are doing.

Also, how is everyone else doing? for those of you who are trying Paragone?

I owe you all for believing in me and trying Paragone! I'm so glad you all didn't think I was crazy. lol.

If I can help anyone with this terrible problem, I will do it.

Growl Suck,

I had lots of gas and yes the gas problem will get better. By next week, you should be doing a lot better.

How long have you had this problem? Also, if you forget or eat something right after taking Paragone it's okay, just make sure you take it to get the best results.

Coheed,

I'm glad that your 5 day break went well.
Are you starting to eat? Have you started your second box yet?

Just a thought, after this third box, I will start using "Parafree" it's another parasite cleanse that has the 3 main ingredients to kill parasites. It's cheaper than Paragone. I think it's only $11 for the bottle. I will use this for maintenance, and then do paragone maybe twice a year. I will continue killing the parasites, because if I don't, they will continue to come back. I've heard people say it took them years to rid themselves of parasites. I know it will take at least a year for me too.

You know I was thinking, how would I know if I'm 100% cured since I've had this problem for so long. I have become quite paranoid of the noises. It could be a normal growl, but I'd think it's a grumbling(parasite) noise.

Which problem are you asking about, the gas or the growls or the whole thing? I've had the growls and gas since around my freshman year of high school, so around 7 years ago.

Hi all,

Just thought id pop in and say hello. Im feeling so much more positive after finding this site, i think together we'll find a solution to this problem and if we dont, at least we've found someone to talk to who understands.

Im so happy to read that you're all doing so well. This week ive ordered 'hard to stomach' by john mckenna. It arrived today so im going to start educating myself, the more we can learn about this the better.

Well done Coheed on getting through your 5 day break, im so pleased for you.

Growls suck, you should give yourself a huge pat on the back for working in that courthouse, i know exactly what you must have been through. You're obviously a very strong minded, brave person for getting through it xx

Well, I kinda have to. I'm going into the energy industry so there's a strong possibility that I will be checking title records quite often. Thank God for Paragone. I have interviews tomorrow with Conoco Phillips and Chesapeake, as well as Chevron on Monday and a bunch of others after that.

Haha have I started to eat... YES. Too much though, I can't even look at salad anymore because I ate it for so long. I'm still trying to stay healthy, but it's very difficult when I've been eating so blandly for so long! I know you said something similar yourself, Growgurl, haha. Yeah, I started the second box around the full moon like you said, and it IS hard to keep the timing up with the spacing out my food and the Paragone, I think Growlssuck mentioned that... but so far, still doing well!

Thanks Jen, I got my anxiety a bit today because I've been sick lately and my stomach HAS acted up slightly today.. but it went away when I made myself remember to breathe deeply. Terrible feeling... it's nice though to have so many people to talk to though!

Growlssuck, good luck tomorrow with your meetings, I hope the Paragone comes through for you for that. When I first started I had anxiety just because it was a new thing and I didn't count on it working, but remember to breathe (haha I hope I'm not the only one who panics and forgets to breathe enough?) and, take the garlic in the morning just as an extra precaution!

Here's a question for you guys: Do (did) you guys get noises coming from your rectum area? 'Cause right now that's the worst for me. I get these popping/crackling noises that seem to come from that area. I'm pretty sure it's gas because as soon as I let it out, I feel a bit better (for like 5 minutes or so until it comes right back).

Anyway, thats my main problem. Still waiting to try paragone...still concerned about the garlic smell. Sad

Coast, I used to get that a lot, only about once or twice in the past month or so.... it's usually like a really sharp crackling or rumbling or something... and I can REALLY feel it. I don't know if that would be colon area? I'm not sure. But yeah, I haven't had that in a long time. What are you doing for yourself in the meantime while waiting for Paragone?

Hi coast,

the loudest noises i get are from my rectum and it's definately gas for me. It's like the pressure builds up and i either let it out or if i cant (cause im in public or whatever) i hold it in and it's like the gas goes back up into my colon and makes a really loud noise. If i do let it out, im ok for a bit then the pressure builds up again. That's the worst noise for me as it's obvious to people what it is, you can't pretend it's your stomach or that your hungry. I ususally get it in the evenings after my tea, especailly if i've eaten a big meal, the only relief i get is if i sit on the loo for like, half an hour, and let all the gas out. Also lieing on your side with your left leg up helps to relase trapped gas x

Hi all, sounds like this is the first time people are actually seeing an improvement. Thats really encouraging to hear. For me, the problem is about as bad as ever, although not so bad in the morning lately. My anxiety for tests and completely silent situations is at about an all time high however. I am actually in the process of getting anxiety/phobia medication for this to see if this helps those situations.

For me, often i know i have a test coming up, and i worry about it for days before hand, and the day of the test i am a wreck. Usually I do about everything I can to make my intestines happy that day including eating a very simple sandwich, some crackers, really non-threatening stuff. Then i make sure i have around 2 hours before the test for my food to digest. A half hour before the test i have a bowel movement followed by laying on my back and bringing my legs behind my head. I hold this positition for several minutes and it usually seems to purge any gas still in my GI tract.

During the test of course im anxious as hell that i am going to make a noise. But usually i end up fine, and leave without anything happening. This is why i think the anti-anxiety meds might help this situations a little bit at least. I plan on fullly pursuing a GI specialist to see what the medical cause of this is. I will certainly bring up parasites, but I must admit i am a little skeptical. I have never traveled to places endemic to most parasitic infections, and the incidence of these infections where i live is extremely low. Yes it is possible, but i really think something else like a intolerance to a certain ingredient is more likely. Maybe I just need a colon cleanse too so I can better absorb and digest my meals. What type of parasite are you suggesting that you all are seeing in your stool? Worms? Flukes? Amoebas? Any ideas? I have had some classes in parasitology, so I am just trying to narrow this down

Hey Stdymd,

I understand how that is, even now though I've had a lot of improvement, during tests it really really gets to me. I've also considered trying to get treatment for my anxiety as I feel it's a little bit more frequent and severe than average... but I don't know how to go about doing that without doctors looking at me like I'm looking for drugs, you know?

Also, please let us know if you see a GI specialist and if they suggest anything different. I've had a ton of success with Paragone, but I'm not sure if it is 100% my problem. I could have easily gotten them from where I live, considering the location, and I have a ton of dogs, but I just wish there was just one solid fail-proof plan to get RID of it all.

Anyway, good luck with it all, keep us up on how you do.

Last few days have not been great for me, but today I had some REALLY strange stuff in my stool. A couple of white worms like half an inch long, a bunch of green really weird looking stuff, etc. I immediately felt better and haven't had growls at all for the last 4 or 5 hours. Perhaps my growls from yesterday and this morning were the parasites dying or something, but that was definitely the weirdest stuff I've ever seen in my poop since I started taking Paragone.

That is, in a really really strange way, great then Growlssuck! Maybe it means you're going to be feeling much better all the time now.

Also, GrowlGurl, how are you doing? Have you finished your boxes yet? And that other thing you were thinking of trying, I'd like to know when you start that and how it works!

Hello everyone I am currently 25 years old and these stomach noises have been causing me so many problems. I really started to notice my stomach noises when I was like 19 years old. Once I graduated from my university the stomach noises seem to have gotten worse. I hate having to do any kind of training, because I get soo scared that my stomach will start to make some type of noise. I actually had to resign from a government job, because the training was 4 months long and I had to spend 80% of my time in a quiet room. I was doing pretty good for the first 4 weeks, but then I got a tetaneous shot and a hepatitis shot and everything went down hill.

I will have to go through another training, which will be a week long, 8 hours a day. I wish I didn't have to do this training, but I guess I have no other alternative. I also want to get my masters, but I guess I will have to try to get it online. There are some schools like Boston University, Michigan State, Texas Tech, Florida State, Penn State and University of Houston that offer degrees online. I hope this helps for those who are in school and hate going to class. I am now trying to go to a career path that does not make me work in a quiet environment.

One thing that helped me a great deal was taking fiber pills (metamucil). My routine would start out like this, wake up and try to do #2, then take 2 fiber pills and have breakfast. I would like like 20 fiber pills with me, just incase I heard any noises. I would have lunch and then try to do #2 again and take 2 more fiber pills. I would also take water with me and also something to drink on that was carbonated. I think that if you flush food through your system, by using the restroom, then this may help with the stomach noises. It did for me until I got the darn tetaneous and hepatitus shot.

One other thing that I noticed helped a great deal was running or probably any other excercise. I remember one time I had to run 1.5 miles before lunch and I didn't eat anything, I just drank water. I showered and went to class and I was thinking that I was sure to have stomach noises. I was soo surprised that my stomach did not make one noise.

I went to go and see a doctor in another country (Mexico) since I don't have insurance right now. He checked me out and said that my heart beat is like off on the 11th beat or something like that. He said that it was nothing to worry about, but that this may be the reason for my stomach noises. He asked if I had been excercising lately and I said no. He asked if I had any chest pains and I said a couple times and he said that I should start to excercise everyday. He also gave me this medication, Creon and this other medication. I am taking them right now, but I don't know if they are really working, since my stomach has been feeling about the same. The doctor told me to stay away from processed foods, such as sausages and not to any spices (garlic, pepper, cumin and other spices) he also said not to eat any spicy foods. I am also lactose intollerant, so I don't drink any dairy products. I think I am also alergic to glutons, so I stay away from wheat, barly and oats.

One other thing that I have not done yet, but am thinking about is taking milk thistle to try to help my liver process foods. I don't want to do this yet, until I have finished my training. I don't want to experiment right now before I go to training.

Well good luck to everyone and I hope we can deal with our problem. It would be nice if we could all work for the same company and we didn't have to worry about our stomach noises

Just to update everyone. I bought 2 boxes of Paragone and a bottle of Milk Thistle and a bottle of Acidophilus which is a Probiotic. I took a pill of Milk Thistle and Acidophilus last night and I did feel better this morning, not as many stomach noises. This morning I started the Paragone and my stomach is making more noises again. I hope this a good sign and I hope that parasites are the root to my problem and I hope Paragone kills them. I will keep you posted on any updates on my condition. I'm pretty sure I do have parasites, because I have traveled quite a bit and I have gotten sick several times while abroad. I bought my pills at a health store, but you can buy them cheaper online, but I couldn't wait to start. I would recommend the Milk Thistle and Acidophilus for people to start out, but if you think you may have parasites, then I would also try the Paragone. Good luck to everyone and keep everyone posted on what you have tried and what works and what does not. Thanks Eric

Good luck Eric. Hope everything works out for you. I bought my second box of Paragone yesterday. I'm definitely a lot better off right now than I was even 10 days ago, although today I had a lot of gas, perhaps because I haven't had any Paragone in the last couple of days. I'm hoping another box will wipe the little buggers out for a while. I figure once per year is a good routine with Paragone, at least after the initial house cleaning.

GrowlGurl, let us know if you're 100% better after the second box.
