Tired
I don't know if this has been discussed already. But how many of you are always extremely tired? Previously I thought it was because of the stress from school( and the problem ). But now I am in my summer vacation and am still extremely extremely tired.

You don't even know if I am a boy or if I am a girl? And how could you be telling me to take a pregnancy test.

Anyway its obvious that you don't know what this forum is about.

Trishabunny, sorry didn't mean to be harsh or rude or anything. I know that you did have a good intention.

Re: Tired
I think tiredness is definitely a factor in this condition. At least for me it is. If I dont' get a full nights sleep it i'm more susceptible to having symptoms... I also feel that since I started getting these problems that I need more sleep than I used to. I find it hard to survive on less than a full 8 hours for more than a couple of days.

I agree with matt_user. Sleep and tiredness are related, in my case anyway.

Update
Hi everybody,

i have been searching stuff on the internet and I found that there
are four main types of intolerances:
1) gluten
2) candida
3) lactose
4) fructose

we've basically discussed the first 3. So, the only thing that we haven't tried avoiding is fructose.

Since the last few days, i've been eating nothing other than rice. Yesterday, I also ate a salad, and a banana in the evening. And I found that I started having a stomach ache almost immediately after eating the salad and banana. Today, I skipped breakfast, ate rice for lunch , went grocery shopping, and after I came
home I was tired and thirsty so I drank some "orange juice". I started having a stomach ache almost immediately.

Now, I am wondering if this might be a fructose intolerance.

And this also kind of matches what megs123 said about the inflammation of the stomach , and avoiding citrus fruits.

If it is fructose intolerance the foods that need to be avoided are fruits, fruit juices and anything that contains sugar, fructose, sorbitol , and high fructose corn syrup.

From searching on the web, I found that bread and bubble gums should also be avoided because some of them might contain fructose.

Need to do some more searching to find exactly what to avoid and what is okay.

After I eat sometimes (and it could be due to gasier foods) i'll hear kind of farting noises in my bowels (from the area lower than my belly button). But sometimes I hear noises in the stomach which is more like gurgling and are louder, but these ones hurt abit sometimes. Other people on this forum have described these two types of noises. Gas is going through our stomach and bowels which is a normal process, but for some reason our stomach's are amplifying these abdominal noises. Why is the question.

Right wel ive had 4 this week and today was the weird thing. I had two exams and they wer both scheduled at the same time in the afternoon, so I had to do one this morning which was 2 hours. But then I had to be kept in isolation throughout the day until my other exam so that I cudnt get in contact with ppl who were doing the same exam in the afternoon, that I had just done in the morning. So basically I sat in a silent room four bout 5 hours and actually got through it. So im very pleased and I want to say to all u guys that it is possible. A couple of months ago I was in a terrible state n my stomach was awful but ive bcome more confident and I think u guys are all capable too.. I have 10 more exams in a couple of weeks so il c how I get on with those..

Hi rachie,

its extremely nice to know that you are feeling better.

If you don't mind can you please let us know everything that your food advisor told you. What are you allowed to eat? What are you not allowed to eat?

Hi rachie,
would you mind posting a complete breakdown of the diet you are on as well as any medications you are taking? Sounds like you've made some really good steps. I thought I had conquered the whole thing and yesterday I had a meeting at work and it happened worse than ever. So embarrassing!!! I guess I started to relax on the things I was doing, but it just seems like some days the psychological aspect of it becomes overwhelming and no matter what, I can't stop focussing on anticipating the noises... And then they start to happen.

Hey guys,

i'm new here but I figured I would introduce myself. I have been experiencing extremely loud intestinal noises for about 3 years. Last year I found that when I stopped drinking soda my noises were reduced but not eliminated. It has become much more bearable now. Although, it's no fun when my stomach starts to go crazy in a quiet room. I noticed that when I go to sleep later at night my noises are much worse in the morning. I wake up at 7 every day for work so it seems like a full 8 hours of sleep might help too. I've never read about this problem before I found the thread. It is nice to know I am not alone and that all of you are making progress with your problems. Most of my noises/bubbling sounds seem to come from below my belly button so I figure something wierd is happening down there. I would really like to get into a chatroom and discuss the possibility of a website of some sort. You have all inspired me to go gluten free this weekend. So I figure rice, eggs, peanuts, and whatever else I get think of. I hope you are all enjoying the holiday!

Yes I agree with u, we all need a website that addresses this, I bet there are thousands of people out there with the same problem, we need to have a place were people can come to and get the answer to the problem, but first we must figure out that answer, we are all taking the right steps here on this forum, its just a matter of time before we figure out the best way to stop this.

Happy memorial day to all

I had a colonoscopy a few days ago (to look for irregularities in the bowels such as inflammed bowel disease) but everything was fine the dr said. I'm now on colofac for the management of ibs and have a checkup in a month's time. I'll let you know what the verdict is. I'm starting to lose hope.
