Q: Spotting

Help! I am going insane, i've had all day sickness, now i've been spotting. Sad i'm 10 weeks pregnant, (maybe more), and I have a mucas that comes out when I wipe, and it's bright pink, some red. I am going back to my doctor next week, for an emergency ultrasound, but I still don't have any peace of mind that everything is okay. Is it? Sould I be freaking out, or should I just remain calm, and wait it out?

Dear jessica,

it is most important that you do stay calm between now and the time you see your doctor. A little pink discharge does not confirm whether or not you are to miscarry. If you start to bleed heavily, experience severe lower back pain or severe abdominal pains then you should start to be concerned and get to your doctor or the hospital immediately.

Take care,
