I am currently a medical student, and working on a (hypothetical) case of a 14 yr old with down syndrome who may be going to have a hysterectomy. Im looking for any information people can give me on whether this would be legal, if anyone knows someone with downs who has had a hysterectomy, or what the possible side effects of the operation are, especially for someone with cardiac diesease.
