Crying or Very sad I was just given the results from my ultrasound. Multiple ovarian cysts, numerous inutero fibroids and a severly enlarged uterus. There is a history of ovarian cancer in my family as well as breast cancer.
I went to the county hospital for this and I am waiting for them to send me an appointment.

I am scared and would like to know where else I could get information on this including proper diagnosis, treatment options as well as supportive chat rooms. Also, If anyone has advice on how to ask questions to my doctor, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Kim

Fibroids
Hi,

i recently had a baby and had some serious complications, so I ended up with a c-section. In doing so, they found a fist size fibroid tumor in my uterus. He said not to worry and that it woul shrink in time. Well, about 6 weeks later, thanksgiving, I ended up in the hospital because of huge blood clots. They did a pelvic and told me that the fibroid has not and will not shrink and the only way to get rid of it was a hysterectamy. Well, being 26, I was wanting another child, but not for a few more years. My obgyn told me I only had a year to concieve because the tumor would grow fast, especially if I was wanting to be on birth control. I don't have any pain with the tumor, just serious bleeding. I had blood test done and i'm okay there, so i'm lucky. We will be getting a second opinion, so I suggest to you that you do the same. I to have fibroid history in my family. Nothing fatal! So pray and get a second opinion. If you do need to have a hysterectamy, be thankful that they caught it and the problem didn't get any worse. I hope by telling you my story you feel a little better. I most likely will have the hysterectamy, because I couldn't go on like this with all the bleeding.

Sincerely,
hotmama Confused
