After health forum about the weight gain
issude on depablote my pdoc gave me a
smaole of lamictal. I have never heared
of it but he said that if I get a rash to
go to the er because it could kill me.
Should I even try this med?

Yes try it. I have had no side effects
and the only reason your md came down so
hard on the rash thing is that even though
it is soooooo rare, it can kill you if not
treated early.
Take your meds, don't make excuses

I have taken lamictal off and on for 7
years. It is an anti-seizure medication
that deals with the brains routing of
miss-firing neurons. And other than the
rash there really are no other side
effects. The trick to lamictal is you
have to increase the dosage slowly and if
you ever go off, taper off slowly. I
take 200 mg a day, some people take more ,
I am very sensitive to meds so I usually
take lower doses.
But you should run to the er if you think
you have developed a rash.
