I have gone through the same thing. I could not have an abortion, it just wasn't the right thing for me. But you need to think about this. A baby is a huge change in your life you need to be financially and emotionally ready. You are going to be responsible for another life. If you don't feel your ready and don't want to have an abortion you could give the baby up for adoption. Keeping my baby was the only choice for me. I made the mistake of getting pregnant way too early, but it turned out to be the best mistake ever. You have to give up a lot, but in return you get something that you love more than anything in the world. In the end you need to make the decision that feels best to you. There is not much that anyone can tell you, and it is different because it is your life that is changing not ours.

Aborton or not?
Dear Vanilla,
I know the world can be cruel, and you were delt a bad hand, but now you have to deal with it. I think you should have the baby. Even if you do not keep it, you should not have an abortion!!! Give the baby up for adoption if you do not think you can handle the responsibility.

I'm also 17 years old, and I am 22 weeks pregnant. I just went to the doctors for the first time yesterday and was really scared. when I first found out I was pregnant I didnt know what to do, or how i was going to tell my parents or family. I know exactly how you are feeling, but as it is we are not the same person and no one else can make this deceision for you. I chose to keep my baby because I feel my boyfriend and I are ready to take on this responsibility.only you can determine if you feel ready to take care of the angel you have been sent, but if your looking for an opinion.......even if you are not ready to take care of your baby, you should let someone who is ready take care of it for you. I dont think you should terminate your pregnancy but i cant make the decesion for you. It is one that will change the rest of your life. Good luck and congratulations Very Happy

Both girls that are pregnant and 17.. This is one of lifes things you must deal with. unfortuantely it was planned and perhaps alittle early. Dont let this stop you! You can have a baby and still succeed in life. There are grants and loans that will allow you to still support your child and go to college. My advice to you and your baby is to make something of your life. If not for yourself for the child you carry. Contact your local technical college and see what they can do for you. Finish high school and make it in this world..

don't abort!
Amen daleandtina and haley0308! The rewards of having your own child are greater than anything in life. Not to say that rewards come without price, but, in nature, a mother cares so much about her child. I think that once you see the baby in your arms as you hold him/her, and as your baby's eyes gently glance at yours, you will know in your heart that you will love and cherish that child forever. Nothing will mean more to you at that moment. A child is a gift from heaven I believe, and the glory of motherhood is awaiting you.

Hey There..
Well its your decision on what you want to do.. I will give you a suggestion though.. Why don't you think about placing your baby for adoption instead because there are plenty of people out there in this world that would love to be parents or add to their families. You can have an open adoption and you would be able to see how your child is doing and maybe visit them too.. There are other options out there besides aborting.. I just though I would let you know.. If you want to know anymore on adoption I would love to answer any questions that you have just send me a email.... Thanks.. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully you really think about what you want to do, you can't take it back once it's done..
