Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo Or Ortho Tri-cyclen? Posted: 10-21-04 23:21pm
Hey everyone,
about 2 years ago I was put on ortho
tri-cyclen lo because I chose to start
having sex and I stayed on that for about
7-8 months. During that time my face
seemed to have broken out some in the
beginning but then it seemed to clear up
in the end. It also turned my barely b
cup breast to 34c(and continued to grow),
and I gained some weight. I ended up
going off of it because my breast made me
look too large for my small 5'3 stature,
and I was no longer with my boyfriend. In
the two years I have been off of it I have
been diagnosed with add and the
medicine(adderall) with that has made me
drop from 120 lbs to 100 lbs and i'm kinda
wanting more to me, without gaining alot
of weight, and my face is always breaking
out(no help from the dermotologist). I
also haven't gotten my period in about 3
months(always been irregular). I went to
my gyn appointment today and they put my
back on ortho tri-cyclen lo, and I have
been doing alot of reading and i'm
thinking maybe I should be on ortho
tri-cyclen instead. Will I get the same
side effects as I did the first time I
went on ortho tri-cyclen lo? Should I try
ortho tri-cyclen lo for a month and then
see where I am? Which one tends to make
you gain more weight?
Sorry if this message seems oddly wrote,
i'm about to fall asleep on the keyboard
i'm so tired. :d
thanks!

I used to be on ortho tri-cyclen and never
had any side effects but that is not to
say that if you switch you won't have any.
I've heard it said though, that the
tri-cyclen helps with acne.

I've been on ortho tri cyclen for 5 years
now. It helped my acne clear up for the
most part. I still break out when i'm on
my period week, nothing extensive tho just
a pimple here and there which is tolerable
(and far better then things used to be).
I have also (unfortunatly) gained weight
while on it, 5lbs a year.
