Every pregnancy is different though! A lot of times all of your pregnancy's will be nothing alike. I've heard of people that have a pregnancy where they are reall sick all the time and the same person can get pregnant and have no symptoms the next time. Prenatels are soooooo important though. You can't get all the nutrients your baby needs by eating. Folic acid is one you really need as well as calcium. Folic acid helps prevent birth defects and calcium is something your body get's depleated while pregnant. Take them anyways and see how things go. If it's getting bad and you don't think you can handle them ask your doc what to do.

Have you talked to your doc about the side effects your getting, maybe he can switch you to a different prenatal vitamin, it could just be the one you are currently taking making you get sick. Unless your body just rejects them.

There are many brands of prenatal vitamins and you can even buy them at the drugstore,so try a few different ones until you find one that your body likes.I was once told by a health nut that if you can drop a vitamin in a cup of vinegar and it dissolves in less than 30 minutes, then that vitamin will react the same way in your stomache. If it does not dissolve in that time,it has too many additives and can lead to stomache upset. Some people cannot tolerate pill vitamins and need to use the liquid form, these are often found at health food stores.Good luck to you.Patty

Or it could also make you sick if you take it on an empty stomach, most vitamins are meant to be taken like that mine are but if you are taking them without food, try eating first then taking the pill so it wont dissolve as quickly.
