I'm 45 and have been recently told that i'm suffering from moderate depression / anxiety. Has anyone had those terrible tics / muscle twitching that keep you from sleeping.

My doctor is convinced it is as result of stress/anxiety.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Do you workout a lot? Working out can cause twitching too. If you don't work out, then i'd agree with your doctor that it's the stress. I personally have never had it, but i've heard of people who have and i've known one person who has had it. He was taking medicine for anxiety and I figured it might be the medicines that he was on??

Yes, I agree with the above but would also add that if it's not meds & you'er not working out then consider doing some relaxation, yoga, meditation or similar which may help.

Thank you! I've been experiencing the same thing all of a sudden after an extremely stressful year of teaching and working three jobs. When I went on vacation it went away. I'm back home - bam! The twitching is back!

muschle spasms, twitches and depression
It is stress. Inspector Clueso drove his boss to twitching in the sanitarium. THat's what that is about.
I had severe spams and an eye twitch that lasted for 9 months. I was under enormous stress.

Later tests showed that I had almost 0 of any hormones, due to adrenal fatigue- which is from stress or a tumor.

I take hormones and tons of vitamins, espec. Magnesium and calcium which are very important to muscles- and I don't have those issues anymore.
