Q: Super Short Period From Alesse?

Hi everyone... My doctor switched me to alesse last month since I was having all kinds of problems with ortho tri cyclen lo. I got my period yesterday and it's still really light today despite how it's been almost 48 hours since I started. While on ortho, my period was just as heavy as what it was when I was taking no birth control. Is anyone else experiencing extremely light and/or short periods while taking alesse?

Thanks!

I just went through my first pack of alesse, too! Miune was very light and only lasted with an actual flow (i don't count smudges) for 3 days. However, I was kinda stupid, I guess, and had sex on saturday, the day it stopped and it caused it to start up again through sunday. Then monday it stopped. I did, though, have some bleeding in the end of the 3rd week. Very light but it kinda has me worried....Hope it won't happen again....

Thanks you guys. Smile

mine left altogether yesterday morning which is great! Do you take your pill at the exact same time everyday cassy? Low dose birth control pills can cause weird things to happen if you don't take them at the same time everyday, unlike regular birth control pills where it doesn't matter as much. My doctor informed me of that the last time I was in.
