This may be a stupid question to some of you but i'll ask anyways....If you have sex during your last week or couple days of pregnancy can you get pregnant again after you give birth?

Um. I don't think so. You can get pregnant after havign your baby if you have sex after you have the baby but not if you have sex before you have the baby.

Oh, ok cause I heard of someone who got pregnant like right after she had her baby and I was wondering if it was because she had sex b4 she gave birth and the sperm just took a couple days to implant itself in a new egg.

Well it takes a couple of weeks for your body to get back on track after giving birth. I'd *think* it would be very uncommon for a woman to ovulate the week or 2 after giving birth.

Well, you can't get pregnant while you're pregnant of course. But since sperm can live in the vagine from 3 to 7 days it may be possible. With that said, I really don't think so. I doubt that the pregnancy vaginal fluid would be conductive for sperm to live. And even if it was, right after pregnancy is over, I really don't think it could happen. For two reason, the first is what erin said, and the second is because even after the birth of the baby, you bosy still has pregnancy hormones. I think this may be why it takes a couple of day for the actual milk to come in.
