Q: Getting Empancipated

Hey well, i've looked it up and it says that you can get emancipated at age 16 or 17...But here is the thing.

I don't want to have to go through all of that stupid trouble, just to move out of my house. I just wish that she would just let me move out. She seems to think that she'll get in trouble if she lets me move out.

Hahah I just commented on this.... If your mom agrees to it and will just sign you over it shouldnt be too much of a hassle... And if you move out like now and try to get emancipated in like a month after the whole moving in and settling in has settled the courts will see that you are responsible enough to become emancipated and capable of raising a child and living on yoru own.... Repect your mom nik seriously she just loves you not matter how hard it is to see and know how hard it is to raise a child especially young, she means well heck even my mom means well and she was evil when she first found otu I was pregnant.... Oh and ps partment/house owners may be harsh about renting to someone young so watch out and dont take it to the heartt Smile

I agree with jess! You don't want to ruin your relationship with you mom. I mean even though it's hard dealing with her right now she really just wants the best for you. Plus she probably thinks it might look like she's being a bad mom if she lets you move out early. I would just try to wait it out if you can't talk her into it. It's a big slap in the face to your parents if you emancipate them.

I moved out of my house when I was 16 and in with bf and family and we did that by taking custody away from my mom which was easy because.. Well it was easy and my dad got half custudy and bfs mom got half custody and my dad let's me stay with him..

Is your mom proven to be unfit and would your dad let you stay with patrick if he got custody of you? If it comes down to it, you just might have to get emancipated.. Based on your situation, the hassle would be worth it in the end.. Btw.. If you are ever in dire need of a job again.. Dishwashers quit regularly at restuarants.. It's caca ty work, but it's something, but.. An another note, I don't really know if you should do that because you will get soaked sometimes (unless you put away all night) and with winter coming around and the flu vaccine as hard to get as it is.. You may get the flu and get alex sick.. Don't want that.. Shocked

just throwing ideas out for you..

Good luck Wink
ps..No i'm not being sarcastic..

Meh, I don't have a dad, btw...

Mom and I talked last night and she just told me that she's tired of us fighting and that she's gonna let me move out...But I have to stay out of trouble

which is no problem for me!
