Softened Cervix
Dear wondering,

how far along are you ? The cervix softens when you are getting closer to delivery. It softens, shortens, then dialates in preparation to deliver. If you have a softened cervix now and you are not full term, it just means that you may deliver a little earlier. I'm sure you will be fine as long as you are keeping regular appointments with your doctor.

Regards,

Softened Cervix
My doctor advised me that when you are pregnant, the cervix is usually farther back, closed, and soft.
