"marriage should only be between a man and a women" - both kerry and bush.

What assholes, is all I have to say about their comments on gay marriages

Yeah, if a gay couple wants to get married then thats their business and their decision to make and no one elses.

I know what you mean... It's ridiculous. Would they really feel that way if they had a loved one (or close friend) who was homosexual? I have a lot of friends who are either gay or bi and I think that they have as much a right to marriage as any heterosexual couple. Marriage should be based on love... Not on gender. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Actually I am watching the debate right now and kerry is for gay unions.
I hate kerry he changes his mind every time you turn around.

It says right here in this article at the very bottom that he is not only for abortion but also for gay unions.

Either way I don't really care! I mean if I was in there shoes I would either move to hawii or I would live with my mate forever like I was married. I mean it doesn't matter to me, but yeah I can understand why it upsets others.

Ummmmmmmmmm but isn't there something about marriage being holy matrimony (that's why we aren't getting married) and isn't homosexuality frowned upon in the bible?? So isn't that technically wrong to be joined in holy matrimony if the bible frowns on same sex couples???

Just wondering like Idea

i know gay people, I have no problem and with not being religious, it doesn't impact me. I know you can get "married" like in a register office and that but then to me that surely isn't true marriage because as I already said marriage is supposed to be the joining of two people in holy matrimony....

Ok put me straight - explain it please Arrow

Actually... My uncles a gay priest and he got ordained a few years back as a minister and I asked him about stuff for the bible... And theres nothin in it about drugs or underage drinking (society's law) and as for homosexuality, all it states is that an older man cannot be with a young boy... So some poeple took that as against gay but it just means that u'll be frowned upon if an older older man is with a young boy.

Actully shauna...Drugs and underage drinking.... I'm not sure but homosexuality...... Your uncle is terribly wrong. Here ya go:
leviticus 20:13
"`if a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

As well as
1 corinthians 6:9
do not be decieved; neither the sexually immoral nor idlaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders (then it names more type of people, greedy and such) will inherit the kingdom of god.

This is only two I found. There are more.

Yea, I was gonna say something, lol chanda you beat me to it. With drugs, I know it says something about your not supposed to smoke plants(or somethin like that), so tobacco and marijuana, are against the bible... Im sure there is most definetly stuff about other drugs too. But getting your ears pierced and getting tattoos and stuff is also against the bible... Thank god jesus died for my sins!

I remember leviticus 20:13.

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

Im not catholic, christian, hebrew or baptist but from growing up, I was taught that homosexuality is not right.

I could care less about a homosexual. People call it a sin (which to some and those religous ones it is), but can someone call a homosexual a sinner if they lie, kill and steal?

I respect both bush and kerry's views on marriage. It is their opinion, but all in all, homosexuality and marriage and all this mumbo jumbo. I would never forgive myself if I got involved.

actually, it has a lot in the bible about gay people. It says that a man "shall not lay with a man as he would a woman...And a woman shall not lay with a woman as she would a man". And it talks about sexual immortality being a sin...And it also talks about marriage as a holy saction given by god to a woman and a man...

Hey,
i have some gay friends and I don't dislike them for it. Gay marriage? Well, i'm not for it.... I'm not against it. I mean..... It's a personal choice and they are the ones who have to deal with the decision in the end..... So I say go for it if ya want it.

That angers me off too. I can't stand when people try to make decisions for other people's personal lives.
