Hi my name is katie. I am 36 years old. When I was a junior in high school, I had scarlet fever (i think that it was just a mild case). Then when I was 18, I had mononucleosis.
In the past few years I have had significant hair loss. I asked my primary doctor who told me to go to a dermatologist. She did some lab tests to check my hormones. They all came back normal. She told me that she didn't know what was wrong and gave me take this medicine (spirolactene - which I would have to take for the rest of my life) and come back to see her in 3 months. I wasn't satisfied with that, so I went to another dermatologist for a 2nd opinion. He ran some more lab tests, ana, anti-dna, etc. My ana came back positive with a speckled pattern, titre of 1:160. Because of the positive ana he sent me to a rheumatoid dr to check for connective tissue disorder.
I have had chronic low back pain for over 10 years, had my share of sinus infections, ear infections, bronchitis, etc. I have been pregnant 8 times, with 6 successful pregnancies (no complications). No explanation for the 2 miscarriages ( both at 10-12 weeks, dx by u/s because no heart beat was found).
The rheumatoid dr doesn't thing that I have a connective tissue disorder, but ordered more test to check , of which, I don't have the results yet.
Does any of this tie together at all. Or are these just separate things that are going on with my body?
I would greatly appreciate any help with this? Any suggestions? The one thing that all the dr's agree on, is that my hair is very thin.
