Okay, i've got these spots on my skin.
They're roundish, red, and really scaly.
It's really gross. I've been getting them
off and on for years now, and the
dermatologist said it's not ringworm, it's
some wierd viral thingie. My problem is,
since I started college, they're
everywhere! Normally I get one or two
spots a year, and never more than one at a
time. Now i've got six or seven, mostly
on my hands and feet, and there's no way
to get rid of them does
anyone have any suggestions for minimizing
their appearance, making them less
noticeable?? Also, anything that could
make them stop itching??? Please help.

Have you seen your doctor about it?
Perhaps he can give you something like
oxytetracycline, which can be very
effective.

I went to the dermatologist, and he said
it's a viral infection, and nothing will
ever get rid of it. I just want to know
if there's some way to make it less
noticeable.

When I first started getting them my mom
thought it was ringworm, which is why I
went to the doctor. But after painfully
pulling samples from them they determined
it to be a virus that apparently can't be
gotten rid of, which sucks.
You should consider seeing a doctor about
them, because there are other things that
can cause spots like this that are
curable.

It sounds kind of like eczema. Tanning
should help, and use sens. Skin products.
Also, my doc. Gave me elidel cream
samples that help a lot. You should see
your doc.

I've been to a dermatologist, and he said
there was nothing he could do to help me.
Also, tanning is not an option for me.
I am like casper's paler sister...Five
minutes in the sun and I turn red!
The spots do go away on their own after a
few weeks, but they are brown and scaly in
the meantime, and it's very hard not to
pick at them, which of course makes other
people notice them more. Also, when
they're gone, the spot they were in gets
very shiny...It's not greasy or wet or
anything, the skin is just shiny.
