I somke pot every 7-10 days and when I do I smoke about 5-6 joints. I have a very mild intermittent asthma, I only feel little here in there scratching in the throat and that's it.

Smoking pot is still smoking. Smoke in general will make my asthma symptoms worse.

I have had asthma my whole life. It has improved recently with a new med I am on. I have smoked pot before and when I did I would weez a little bit, it was just temporary. Pot has some of the same chemicals as tobacco which cause breathing problems.

My bf somkes pot and its made my asthma so bad that I have to take steroids to open my throat back up. I literally can't be around the smoke. You should try to limit yourself and if you do smoke it, do it in the open, not a closed room with all of the smoke.

Marijuana can help asthma symptoms
Some studies have shown that marijuana may be helpful to asthma sufferers because it can act as a bronchodialator. However, it would probably be better to use a vaporizer rather than smoking it. With a vaporizer you will inhale the vapor of the THC and other cannabinoids without burning the leaf.

And to Mommy2Seany, I whole-heartedly disagree that marijuana can make anything worse. You obviously don't know what you're talking about. Just ask any patient undergoing chemotherapy whether or not medical marijuana has helped with the side-effects. Anyone who makes such a blanket statement makes me wonder if they drink alcohol -- which has little if any medical use.

marijuana and asthma
I love you mary jane, I think it sucks to be an asthma patient. First reasonis that after smoking marijuana i would have an acute asthma attack, other times it would help me clear flem from my lungs, and shortly after, maybe a half hour later or hour, i would have another acute asthma attack. Using only the albuterol inhaler no steroids, they seem to mess you up a little, all i want in my system is THC, and thats enough for me. No longer do i smoke M. J. but am researching to find out if it is good or bad for MY health, such as will it worsen my condition in the long term, my asthma has not been any different since i have not been smoking grass, but may have had some long term effect, it may effect your voice box.
