Hello. Recently i've had a lot of problems with my skin. Sad I used to have a perfect complexion, with maybe a blemish here or there, and I never did realize how lucky I was until I started having multiple issues. Recently I went to the doctors and was told I had folliculitis. I took several different kinds of medications and it has improved, but it is not gone. Along with this I have now experienced really dry skin, along with blemishes. Most of them are pinkish bumps under the skin. It sucks so bad. I take an extra 15 minutes getting ready to cover them up. My first question is to ask if dry skin can cause acne? My next question if anyone here has tried retina micro, or pro-active, and if either of these have worked for them? Thank-you in advance. I appreciate any responses.

I haven't tried either of those, although I did use the origional retin-a. It really didn't do much of anything for me, which is why I haven't tried the newer version. You may want to ask about oral antibiotics. I used to take tetracycline, and it got rid of all of my problems within a month.

Retin-a didn't do much for me... Retin-a micro is retin-a with less of the active ingredient.. I got better results with proactiv then retin-a. Differin didn't work either. I was on antibiotics for awhile, but you have to be careful with them because your system can become resisitant to the antibiotics after awhile... Plus there are so many other side effects with antibiotics.
