Please mark what you think the doc will do! If i'm pregnant I think I will be about eleven weeks. Maybe more maybe less. Eleven is going off of when my symptoms started.

A doctor will more then likely take a urine sample first...Then if they arent satisfied with the results they will probably do a blood test.

I voted pee test, obviously. If you are, then they'll schedule an ultrasound

See that's just it though I know I won't show up on the pee test if I am pregnant. Well I guess I should say I doubt I would show up on it. I've only showed up on one hpt and that was a month ago.

I voted for ultrasound, because that's what my doc did. I guess its easier because they have the u/s equip right there in the office. All they have to do is turn it on, vs drawing blood, testing, etc.

My doctor doesn't do the ultrasound, the ultrasound technician does. It's so much more expensive to do an ultrasound than to do a simple pee test. The pee test doesn't take that long. The first time I got a pregnancy test in a doctors office, they asked if I wanted a blood test or a urine test. Tell them you want a blood test even if they don't ask.

Yeah, I think I will it's a waste of time to do a pee test. If i'm pregnant that is. I really think I am, but i'm really concerned that something could be wrong if I am. My belly has started making a little pouch and my appetite came back after a lot of nausea and no appetite what so ever. I've had a lot of the symptoms, but the only one's I have now is my belly and i've gained 2 pounds. Which could be normal for me! Sex feels so much more unpleasant and everything I do now feels different. Like when I jump around with my kindergartners it feels heavier in my boobs and stomach. It's so frustrating! Especially after that one test I took that was positive.

Yeah, i'm hoping, but i'm worried. Either way if i'm pregnant why are my levels so low. If i'm not why did I have all these weird symptoms happening. Do I have a tumor or something? It's kinda scary!

I voted for blood test because when I first found out I was pregant...I didn't show up on a hpt but two for a long long time. But the doctor checked my levels on the blood test. I am not sure..You could go through the same thing I was going through.

Well, I spotted on august 22 which I never spot and that lasted two days! It's not birth control either I can't handle that stuff. On september 19th I believe I had what seemed to be a normal period, but it lasted for three days. I'm a five dayer. And now my stomach is growing! If I lost my baby on my last period you would think it wouldn't be growing at all!

She didn't with me and my brother until she was three months along I believe. With my sister she didn't know till she was four months along. Although she'll admit back then she didn't pay much attention to charting. She actually had a docter look at her and tell her she was pregnant with me, but my mom didn't believe him so she went to another doctor who said the same thing. I don't think hpt's were very commen then.

Bobbi, if the first test comes up negative, make sure you push for more investigation. Explain how you feel and your symptoms and that you have had a positive and some negative pee tests, but that you really need an answer to this.
You may just be one of those girls who ain't gonna show on a test and it might have to be an ultrasound. I haven't voted because I think you need a combination of the tests for a definitive answer.

One old doctor once said that the only definite sign of pregnancy is delivery of a baby Shocked

i hope you get the answer you want. Wink
