I know that this question has been answered a million times, but for my boyfriends sake of mind, I will ask it again......Is it a possibility, a real possibility, not a one in a zillion chance, for someone to get pregnant while on their period? My boyfriend and I recenlty had unprotected sex while I was on myperiod (yes, gross maybe. We were in the shower...So my period had ceased for the moment) that was our first unprotected sex experience, and now he is very concerned. It was also the first day of my period. Anyone really know if there would be a great chance? My periods are normal, 28 day cycles. Well, not the last three months; they have been crazy, but anyway, lol. Any help? Embarassed

I know it seems like it is gross, but when you take a bath, your period stops. This is when this happened, lol. I always said i'd never have sex on my period, and after almost a week with his dad stayin with us....Things just happened, and I wasn't bleeding bc I was in the shower. And this happened yesterday, lol. But i'm not offended. I share your views...I just don't adhere by them. Lol. This was our first experience with bath, unprotected, and period sex.

That's funny! Ya know I thought my husband would be grossed out by the idea, but one day when I was on my period he said hey wanna make some lovin? So now i'll do it on my period if I feel like it. A lot of times though I don't want to be touched when i'm on it because I feel so gross. Sometimes though i'm all for it.

All true, but if you have a "standard" cycle it is very unlikely.
On a standard cycle you ovulate around 14 days before your period (that is why you get your period), the egg is only viable for 24-48 hours after this it kinda disintegrates and is expelled.
You period is caused by the lining of the uterus stripping away because nothing has implanted into it and is therefore surplus to requiremements.
So yes it is possible but not likely.

thanks for the info....Yea, I knew my period was uterine lining and all that...And I didn't think I could get prego, or I would not have did what I did...But afterwards my guy was really freaking out...Which is stupid bc he did it, lol. He is very...Cautious. Even when I was on birth control we would use condoms every time bc he is so cautious, which is a good thing if you don't want children....

Also, the reason I asked initially is bc my periods have not been reliable lately... In august I had a one day period....In september my period was almost two weeks late....And this month was more regular....It was a 29 day cycle....And two weeks ago...In the middle of my cycle...I bled really bad in the middle of sex...Which I thought was my period, but wasn't. So it's been an odd couple of months.
