Could I Be Pregnant After Having My Tubes Tied? Posted: 10-07-03 13:22pm
I had my tubes tied after my 3rd child was
born almost 5 yrs ago. I've been
cramping very bad like i'm going to start
but I haven't started yet. I wouldn't
mind being pregnant b/c I regret getting
them tied but when we decided to do it, we
had just had our 3rd child and the it was
only 10 1/2 months from having our 2nd
child. So I think that was the main
reason we did it. Fear of getting
pregnant so soon again. I was taking the
mini pill while breast feeding my 2nd
child and still got pregnant. I'm afraid
to get a test and take it cause what if
i'm not i'd be upset. So, I was just
wondering if anyone has had something like
this happen to them getting pregnant after
tubes been tied and having pains like i'm
having?
My freind had her tubes tied and got
pregnant 5 times afterwards....4 were
miscarried but the last one stayed and is
a healthy baby...I dont really knw how it
happened but it did. She was complaining
about sharp pains at work shortly before
she figured out she was pregnant.

It is definately possible to become
pregnant after having your tubes tied. I
don't know how probable it is, but it's
definately possible. How late is your
period? Have there been more stressors
lately than usual? Have you lost any
weight like 5 lbs?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

I had a tubal ligation 4 and 1/2 years
ago. I know it is possible to get pregnant
after having this done. But I have also
been having sharp pains in my belly. I
think I am going on 2 weeks. I really cant
remember my last period. But I cant be
more than 2 weeks late. Funny thing is
that is when I figured I might be prego
for all four pregancies(3 living- 1 not) I
was 2 weeks late then. I am wondering now.
Ill just wait little longer before I start
freaking out cause the chance is very slim
since I had my tubal done but I have been
getting alot of intercourse so that brings
the chance up...guess ill just have to
wait and see...God Bless
