When you are trying to conceive do you have sex when you are ovulating or a couple days before . . . . Different people tell me different things and I wan to know what you guys on here think. . . . . . . Because I figure if it takes a couple days for the egg to get fertilized then wouldnt you want to have sex a couple days before . . . Or would you just have sex when you are ovulating ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Sperm can stay alive for 2 to 3 days inside of you but an egg is only ripe for 24hrs. So it is best to have sex before and during ovulation.

If you know when you ovulate, then have sex starting 2-3days before and do it every other day (gives him chance to make more swimmers) until ovulation is well past.
I can personally atest sperm definately live 3 days (i got pregnant 3 days after we did it) but they can live upto 5days especially at ovulation time as you body becomes am ore sperm friendly environment around then.
