What is an ectopic pregnancy.... A while back my doctor thought I had one but it end up being nothing

A pregnancy occurring elsewhere than in the cavity of the uterus.

To add to erica's post, this most often occurs in one of the fallopian tubes, which if undetected can lead to rupture and loss of that tube.
But as she rightly said it is anywhere other than in the actual uterus.

Yes they are correct but most times it is in the fallopian tubes. An ectopic prgnancy is also known as "tubal pregnancy" I just had one back in march on my daughters birtday. You all check out my post which is asking about ectopic pregnancy if you have any ideas. Thanks
