I was diagnosed with seizures at the age of 14, and now i'm 17. When I was first diagnosed, all was well, and the medication I was using was doing fine. Recently, (within the last 2 months) seizures have been occuring again. My doc switched medication, but it gave me more side effects than anything. So we tried another, and another, and another. Nothing seems to be working! I'm starting to feel pressure from schoolwork i'v missed, and the best my family can do is say, "i know how you feel: when they don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll work through this part though. But what other treatments are out there for seizures in general? Anyone?

Seizures
Have you ever had an mri?...If you're having them frequently and medication hasn't worked so far, then talk to your doctor about surgery..I know it sounds scarey, but my neurologist suggested it to me..He said, "do you want to have your life back? Then I suggest surgury is the answer"...He has set me up to talk to the surgeon and I have an appointment for an mri....I also have been on all the meds out there and I still have seizures....You're very young and you don't want to live your entire life like this so talk to your doc about what I mentioned it can't hurt.......Good luck and take care, susan
