Do you think a day care would hire me as a part time worker if they were hiring? (im 15 for those who dont know) or do you think they would turn me down because im young and theres liability and insurance issues?

I don't know.
The best thing to do would be to call/visit round few and ask about their hiring policy.
Some places here can hire young people from age 13 but their hours are very restricted, something like they can't do more than 20hours, not before 6am and not after 8pm and not during school hours.
Where I work we can't take anyone under 16.
So give a few a try and see what they say, it can't hurt to ask.

Hey gaby-
I don't know...I worked for a day care when I was 13...All the way up until 16. I think you should have a good shot on it...Call and ask..That is all you can do. Its better to know for sure than sit there and wonder.

Hey girl,

it differs from state to state. Or even country to country. Here you cant work in a day-care center until your 16 and even then they dont let you work with the little kids. Most of the time you get desk duties. So yeah, it really depends.

All you can do is ask.

we got 14 year olds who can't even wash dishes right so I don't know if they would be ready to trust 15 year olds with kids. If you have good experience and references from your family they might take you. If not, try a few private babysitting jobs and really do good and then after a while, build up a good reference and then apply. That way you get ample experience and you also get paid.

I was 15 when I started my job working at day care. If you are good with kids and willing to work hard. Start by going in to a daycare with a smile and thinking that you will get this job.
