Q: Infertile?

My boyfriend and I have had unprotected sex for the past 6 months and I have yet to get pregnant. Is it possible that I could be infertile? Or maybe he could be sterile? When he was 14 he had to have hormones injected into him to bring on puberty so could that cause him to be sterile? We both want a baby really bad but I just cant get pregnant and im afraid that I might be infertile. I should of had my period on the 24th of september and it still hasnt showed up. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it came back negative. I just dont know what to do anymore and im really afraid that one of us could be infertile or sterile.

How old are you guys. I know I have been trying to have a baby for over a year and I know other who have been trying longer. I know they wont do any kinds of test until you have been trying for a year strate if even then. You could alway talk to your dr and ask them.

Oh my gosh! No, it does not mean you are infertile! My aunt tried for 13 years and had all kinds of medical procedures like ivf that didn't work, then as soon as they gave up and relaxed, she became pregnant naturally and know has a 7 year old little boy. Don't think you are infertile until you have tried _at_least_ 3 years!

You just have to relax. People try to freakin hard and then complain when it doesn't work. If you are trying for a baby then just relax and it will happen. If you are not really trying, but just wondering, then use protection.

There are a billion sites online...If you have tried for more than 5 years...Thats why you know you are infertile...Go online and there are positions and things to do if you are ttc! You sit up with your legs in the air so all the semen goes to the egg...And lay like that for 30 mins thats one of the biggest things.

True...
I had sex plenty of times and got up and I have a 2-year-old daughter to prove that it doesn't really keep you from getting pregnant... Laughing

Like the other girls said, no that doesn't mean your infertile.
You have to remember that every act of sex doesn't result in a pregnancy.
From my understanding, we release an egg once a month, mayb your not
having sex the days you are fertile. Everybody doesn't ovulate on day 14.
I ovulated between days 7-10 and I have a 2-year-old daughter now!
So don't give up your hopes and the number one thing, relax! That can mess up your chances, when your stressed.

It's funny how people who don't want to be pregnant, get pregnant in a flash yet when you want one, it's like pulling teeth. That's life for ya Rolling Eyes
